Chapter 1413

Hearing the voice, Celeste' s body stiffened. Looking in the direction of the voice, she saw Janicesitting on the sofa in the hall waving at them.

Celeste smiled wryly. Her smile was stiff and somewhat guilty.

She even felt as if she was an intruder in their relationship; as if she was the one who had donesomething wrong.

Soon, Celeste cast her long eyelashes to cover the discomfort in her eyes for a moment.

Gary glanced at Celeste. When he saw that her eyes were lowered, his pupils constricted and atrace of worry appeared in them. He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but ultimatelychose not to.

He could only turn to look at Janice with an immediate cold glance. This woman was downstairsagain. It seemed that enemies were always destined to meet.

Janice, who did not know what was going on, quickly ran over. When she saw Gary, her eyes werefilled with glee as she smirked, "Hey, I caught you. You didn't answer my calls or reply to mymessages. Didn't you say that I could look for you today?"

"When did I say that?" Gary frowned.

"Oh fine, here you go, refusing to admit things again," Janice shrugged and said, "You alwaysrefuse to admit what you have said. Do all men like to be insincere?"

"Who is being insincere?" Gary once again retorted.

Celeste agreed with her words though. Janice was right, Gary was always insincere.

"Come on," Janice shot a glare at him and said to Celeste affectionately, "By the way, where areyou going, Celeste?"

Celeste didn't know how to answer, so she had to turn back to look at Gary.

Gary frowned and replied lividly, "There's no need to tell you where we're going, right?"

"Let's go together," Janice was not provoked, "You just left me alone yesterday! Are you planning toleave me alone today too? It's so boring being alone. Isn't it better for the three of us to have funtogether?"

"The three of us make too big a crowd," Gary rejected her directly.

Janice seemed to know that it was useless asking Gary, so she put her hopes on Celeste anddirectly asked her, "I wasn't asking you. After all, you' re always being difficult. I'm asking Celeste."

Celeste looked at Janice in surprise and saw her smiling face. There was nothing strange about herand she did not seem to be angry at Gary.

She could not help but sigh. Janice was very strong-minded indeed.

Compared to her, it seemed that she was really very fragile.

"I don't have a problem with that," Celeste said to her.

"See? Celeste doesn't have any objections," Janice smiled at Gary in a mysterious manner, "Youdon't have anything to say, do you?"

"I have a problem with that," Gary shot back in disgust. He grabbed Celeste's wrist and led heroutside, ignoring the fact that Janice was still standing behind him.

"It hurts," Celeste grunted. "You're hurting me by gripping my wrist like that."

Taken aback for a moment, Gary loosened his grip a little but continued to hold her wrist and walkout.

He dragged Celeste out. There was nothing she could do, so she could only keep up with his pace.

Janice frowned and followed closely behind. She complained as she chased after them, "Wait forme, Gary. You're such a joykill. Can you not be so arrogant? It's so much fun if we can be together. What are you being so angry about?"

Gary didn't even turn his head around. He grabbed Celeste' s hand and headed straight for theoutdoor parking lot.

Janice followed closely behind.

When they reached the car, Celeste turned around to look at Janice. She quickly whispered to Gary,"Miss Simpson is here. We should bring her along. Wouldn't it be difficult for me if we abandon herlike this? I don't want her to misunderstand anything."

Gary turned around just to see that Janice had really come running over. She looked very lively andthere was a smile on her face.

What did Celeste mean by that?

What did she mean by saying that she didn't want Janice to misunderstand them?

His cold and handsome face was turned towards Celeste. After observing her expression, he felteven more annoyed.novelbin

Just then, Janice came to their side and said with a smile.

"Where are you going? I'll go too. It's so boring.

You can't bear to leave me alone, can you? It's better for everyone to go together."

"Janice, can you stop haunting me?" Gary snapped. He looked truly impatient.

He could see that Celeste was uncomfortable. Since Janice appeared, she had been tense andcould not relax.

In the past few days, they had quarreled with each other because of Janice.

There was now a crack in his relationship with Celeste and it was all thanks to Janice. However,Janice was still haunting him.

With that, he couldn't help but get angry at her.

"What? What's wrong with me?" Janice stammered and looked at him, stunned. She looked atCeleste again and felt that there must have been an understanding.

Celeste also thought that Gary's attitude towards this matter made her very embarrassed. Moreover, she felt like she had stolen Gary from someone else. She felt very guilty indeed.

Glancing swiftly at the pale-faced Janice, Celeste said, "Miss Simpson, let's go together. We are justgoing out to take a look at the scenery and have a meal together. That's all. Don't be angry. Mybrother is always like this. He really cares about you deep down."

Gary knitted his brows and looked at Celeste. He grunted gruffly, "Celeste White."

Celeste was startled. She did not even look at Gary.

She knew that he cared about Janice. She had simply said what he was thinking, that was all.

"What are you being fierce about?" Janice patted him in an intimate manner, joking around, "IsCeleste right? You really think so?"

"Janice Simpson," Gary chided her once again.

"Do you want to deny the truth and claim that you don't care about me?" Janice raised hereyebrows and asked, "Don't pretend. Even your sister has seen through your thoughts. Do youthink I can't?"

Celeste' s face turned completely pale in an instant, and all blood drained away from her face.

Gary's heart throbbed and he frowned impatiently. He was very annoyed as he snapped, "You thinktoo highly of yourself."

"Fine, I really do think highly of myself. You're not like that at all, but you care about me. I knew it allalong."

Janice said and made a face at him. Before Gary could get angry, she suddenly ran away.

She ran to the co-driver's seat, opened the door and got in.

Celeste watched Janice move as quick as lightning. She was also in a daze, and Janice's wordsmade her feel as if she was suffocating.

She felt that she shouldn't have tagged along. She was the person who shouldn't have appeared.

She smirked bitterly and said to Gary, "Gary, you should go with Miss Simpson. I think I should goback to the hotel to rest."

"Celeste, that won't do," Janice hurriedly shouted in the car, "If you don't go, your brother will beangry. All three of us should go together."

Celeste then turned to look at Gary. His expression was gloomy, the stillness on his face seemed asif a storm was brewing.

The very next second, Celeste had a very ominous feeling.

She pursed her lips and finally agreed, "Okay, let's go together."

She was determined to try her best and not become a third-wheel.

Since she understood it was time for things to end, she didn't want to get too emotionally invested.

She wanted to open the door to the rear and sit down.

However, Gary grabbed hold of her and pulled her to the door of the co-driver’s seat. He opened thedoor and dragged Janice out.

"What are you doing?" Janice screamed. She was really taken aback.

Gary ignored her and forcefully pulled her out. He stuffed Celeste into the seat and quickly fastenedher seatbelt.

He took another look at Janice and said solemnly, "Remember this seat. It's hers."

Gary pointed at Celeste and warned Janice seriously.

Janice was stunned. She could only widen her eyes in disbelief.

Inside the car, Celeste also felt similarly embarrassed. He was just as domineering as he was whenhe asked Janice to sit next to him yesterday. It was still very awkward.

The fierce look in Gary's eyes surged turbulently. They were filled with determination.

Janice quickly came to her senses and suddenly laughed, "Oh, you should've said that earlier. Ididn't expect you to be so persistent on the details. I thought your sister wouldn't mind if I sat downanywhere."

"Who says she doesn't mind?" Gary shot coldly, "Don't come with us. We don't welcome you."

Janice was taken aback again and gasped, "What do you mean?"

Gary closed the door and had already returned to the driver's seat. He got in and started the engineto leave. He didn't care about Janice who was thrown into the parking lot by him at all.

Celeste looked back worriedly and saw Janice staring blankly in the direction they were leaving. She seemed to be taken aback.

She turned around to look at Gary, wanting to see some emotion in his eyes. She really didn't knowwhat Gary's actions meant.

"Don't talk to me," He suddenly muttered, feeling quite upset, "And don't say that I'm wrong."

Celeste pursed her lips together in a thin line. Her words were stuck in her throat.
