Chapter 1265

"Uncle Heinz, can you not be so petty?" Maria really had the urge to roll her eyes. She commented,"I just wanted to refute your remarks saying we are childish, but you're roping my dad in to deal withme. Are all men so petty?"

For example, Gary and Ernest.

Why did she feel that men were so petty?

Zachary did not say anything. Soon, they were going to be separated. In another hour or so, theplane would take off.

Zachary glanced at Heinz and changed the topic, "Alex is sending them off to England. He willcome back after everything is settled."

"Aren't you going to send someone too?" Heinz looked at Zachary teasingly and said, "Look, yourdaughter is leaving to study now, but you are still so reluctant to let her go. If she gets married in thefuture, won't you be more worried?"

"Am I that worried?" Zachary refused to admit it, "I didn't send anyone to follow them, so am I stillconsidered worried?" "You're just stubborn, aren't you?" Heinz smiled and turned to look at Maria,"Maria, did you see that? Your father isn't worried about you."

"My dad knows that I've grown up," Maria was not going to be fooled. She immediately smiled backat h8im, "Uncle Heinz, we are going to leave soon, so don't make jokes now. If you have the time to,it's better for you to focus on Ernest. He yearns for love now."

Heinz frowned and asked, "Really?"

"Yep," Maria grinned mysteriously. She glanced at Ernest, who was walking over with Celeste, andnodded very seriously, "Uncle Heinz, do you know what Ernest wants?"

Heinz glanced at his son and the way he looked at Celeste. Then, he narrowed his eyes andanswered, "Teenagers like you probably don't need our care as parents. You want love, right?"

Maria's heart skipped a beat. She told herself that she had to be careful in the future when talking toadults, especially to people like Uncle Heinz.

Yvonne and Grace both looked at Maria.

Maria smiled and felt a little embarrassed, but she was smart. She immediately retorted, "SinceUncle Heinz said so, did you fall in love when you were sixteen?"

Grace blinked and looked at Heinz. Heinz felt helpless since he was actually rendered speechlessby a young girl.

After all, everyone knew that this was Heinz's second marriage.

This time, Maria really managed to hit his sore spot.

"Alright, stop joking with her. Celeste is coming," Grace helped Heinz out of trouble.

Just then, Ernest and Celeste arrived together.

"Nice to see you, Aunt Grace," Celeste recognized Grace and greeted her with a smile. Then, shelooked at Yvonne and greeted her as well.

"Hello Celeste," Grace nodded at her warmly.

The lady following Celeste was in her thirties. Grace did not know much about Celeste's familysituation. She said to the lady, "Hello, are you Celeste's mother?"

"No, I'm not, Mrs. Jones," The woman smiled, "I'm here to see Miss White off."

In other words, she wasn't her family member.

This form of address was enough to reveal that they were not from the same family.

Celeste also smiled but she looked a little lonely. She quickly pitched in, "My aunt has something todo and can't come, so she sent someone to see me off."

Grace's heart skipped a beat. Did the girl have no

parents?novelbin

She nodded and immediately said, "You should go through the necessary procedures. It's better tocheck in early."

"Alright."

Meanwhile, Alex had been helping Ernest go through the procedures. A while later, he managed tohelp Ernest check in his luggage and obtained his boarding pass. After giving some reminders toErnest, Grace was very reluctant to let him go.

Zachary and Yvonne were also talking to Maria, their reluctance and worry evident on their faces.

Meanwhile, Celeste stood quietly in the corner, looking at Ernest and Maria's parents sayinggoodbye to them.

She was alone.

In fact, she was a little envious.

She pursed her lips and smiled bitterly. Her gaze fell on Heinz's face. His facial features were veryfamiliar.

Gary looked very similar to his father.

In the future, he would be a determined man too.

Her gaze was filled with longing. Perhaps many years later, Gary would also be such a man.

She didn't notice that Heinz had realized that she

was looking at him.

Heinz found that the girl had been staring at him for a long time.

He frowned and looked over coldly. He found that the child didn't seem to be looking at him, but hereyes were fixed on him. However, she had a faraway look in her eyes.

He was very surprised that both of his sons were interested in a girl like her.

Since when did their taste in women become so identical?

Heinz withdrew his gaze calmly and looked at Ernest. It seemed that the reason why Ernest insistedon going to England was because of Celeste.

Gary was alone in the United States. It was really troublesome for the two boys to be separated insuch a way, which made Heinz very depressed.

Heinz's face fell and he advised, "Hey Ernest, after you arrive in England, take some time to adaptto the place first. If you can't, immediately transfer to the United States. You are still young and havemany choices."

Ernest was stunned for a moment, and his eyes met with his father's. He was very surprised, "Dad,this is my education, not a trifling matter." "It seems that you're going to England on a whim this

time," Heinz's gaze was quite tense and oppressive. His cold aura seemed to freeze theatmosphere around the two.

Ernest was stunned and looked at Heinz. He made up his mind and declared, "I won't change mymind casually after I go to England this time."

He was firm.

The conversation between father and son was a little tense, which attracted everyone's attention.

Ernest glanced at his father and said to his mother, "Mommy, it's time. We shall go in and board theplane."

Grace took a look at her watch. It was still kind of early. It seemed that Ernest didn't want to arguewith Heinz before he left.

She nodded and gave in, "Well, ask Uncle Logan to come with you. After a while, mommy will goand visit you."

"Mommy, there's really no need to," Ernest smiled and gave her a warm hug, "We have to go now."

"That's right."

"Celeste, Maria, let's board the plane," Ernest suggested.

Maria hugged her parents and said goodbye to them before she walked away with Celeste.

Celeste was alone with a bag on her back. After they passed the security checkpoint, Maria was stillreluctant to part with her parents.

Meanwhile, Celeste had already passed the checkpoint and was already heading inside. She turnedback to wait for Maria, her eyes full of envy.

Grace took her phone, took a video of them waving goodbye, and sent it to Gary.

In the middle of the night, Gary received the video and remained silent for a long time.

Jealousy was reflected in Celeste's eyes. Her discouraged gaze made him feel a stabbing pain inhis heart.

On impulse, he picked up his phone and dialed Celeste's number.

The phone had not been turned off yet and it rang.

Celeste was shocked.

She took out her phone and was startled at the sight.

Ernest was beside her, so he saw the number at first glance. Silently, he narrowed his eyes.

Celeste hesitated, but she still picked it up anyway.

"Hello?"

"You've boarded the plane?" Gary's slightly hoarse voice rang out. Towards the end of his question, his voice was so rough that it was almost unintelligible.

Celeste's heart trembled for some reason. At that moment, when she heard Gary's voice, she felt asense of warmth.

"I just went through the security checkpoint," Celeste whispered, "Why did you call me?"
