Chapter 1253

"Yeah," Maria didn't try to hide her opinions, "I thought so back then, and I still think so now.Although I don't really like Gary, he is very serious this time, after all. How rare. I can't go against myconscience not to help him. Don't you agree?"

"Maria, since when did you become so kind-hearted?" Ernest asked suspiciously.

"I've always been a very kind-hearted girl," Maria smiled and looked at Ernest. After two seconds, she continued, "Unlike some people who are so used to wearing masks, so much that it hasbecome so boring. I'm leaving now. I'm going to see how Gary is doing."

After that, Maria left Ernest and went upstairs.

After Gary returned home, he took a shower in his room on the third floor. He had just put his pantson after drying himself.

Suddenly, the door was pushed open.

"Gary." Maria's sound could instantly be heard.

Gary, who hadn't worn his top yet, frowned immediately and snorted as he turned around to look atMaria.

Maria stood at the door. When she noticed that Gary was changing his clothes, she reflexivelycovered her eyes the next second.

However, when she turned around and noticed that he was done wearing his pants already, she putdown her hand instantly and sighed, "Tsk, tsk, tsk."

"Yo, Gary, you're only 16, and you've already become so muscular. Have you been plotting to seekattention from girls?" Maria teased.

Gary frowned as he put on his shirt.

His outfit for the day was a suit. As he had a tall figure, he could pull it off effortlessly.

Without paying any attention to Maria, Gary put on his clothes, then tucked his shirt into his pants.

Maria had come in simply, swaggering as she watched him change his clothes, and she had alsocommented on his physique.

"Tsk tsk, good physique; broad shoulders, narrow hips. You're gonna grow to be a hunk."novelbin

Gary snorted coldly, "Am I not now?"

"Now, not really." Maria shook her head, "Compared to my idol, you're still lacking a little. You don'thave the aura of a matured man. Look at yourself; you look just like a teenager." "Youth is the mostpromising age. Haven't you heard of that?" Gary began to wear his tie.

"Do you have any achievements now?" Maria pouted and expressed her doubts, "Apart from beingcapable enough to study abroad at 16, you're pretty average. Moreover, whatever you can do, I cando it as well."

"Aren't you going as well?" Gary's sharp gaze landed on her, "Do you think your idol will be yours ifyou don't leave?"

Panic flashed across Maria's eyes, and she immediately coughed to clear her throat as if someonehad guessed what was going on in her mind.

"Gary, what are you talking about? I don't understand."

"Don't act." Gary exposed her mercilessly, "Who doesn't know what's in your heart?"

"Celeste doesn't," Maria immediately retorted.

Gary was taken aback as his face turned stiff.

Maria laughed immediately as if she had seen through Gary's thoughts.

"Celeste is very innocent; she's clueless about a lot of things. Even if she had figured it out, shewouldn't point it out like this either," Maria expressed her disdain at him, "Gary, do you know yourbehavior is very unlikeable?"

"I didn’t ask you to like me," Maria's opinion did not matter to him.

"But you have to let Celeste like you at least," Maria said, "Look at you, you're always like this. You're only concerned about your own emotions. Has it ever crossed your mind that you shouldn'tbe treating girls so coldly?"

Gary paused and remained silent.

Maria shrugged and said with a sigh, "Look, your current situation is so boring. Since you clearlywish for her to go to the United States with you, why don't you fight for it? If you don't make yourselfclear, how do you expect Celeste to know about it?"

"Shut up," Gary said deeply.

Maria was shocked by his cold voice.

If it was in the past, she would have turned around and left. But this time, she held herself back.

She looked at Gary, took a step forward, and stood in front of him. She raised her head and said,"Gary, what are you so fierce about? I'm just trying to help you out of goodwill. Don't even think thatI'm doing this because I care for you. Let me tell you, I couldn't care less about your affairs at all, butI just feel that you're going to miss Celeste eventually if you allow this to go on."

Gary raised his eyebrows, and his gaze became ablaze. His mood became unpredictable.

"You should be grateful that I'm offending Ernest to help you despite your horrible attitude."

Gary frowned and looked at Maria for a while before walking pass her.

Seeing that he was about to leave, Maria immediately shouted, "Don't leave yet."

However, Gary wasn't leaving yet. Instead, he had merely walked over to close the door.

Maria was surprised to see him close the door.

"You, you..."

"What?" Gary walked back towards her, "Let's exchange."

"What?" Maria was very puzzled, "Exchange what?"

"As a condition, let's exchange," Gary said.

"Can you make yourself clearer?" Maria became very nervous.

"What else do you think it could be?"

Maria thought for a while and said, "You're going to help me win over my idol in exchange for myloyalty to look after Celeste in your place?" Gary smiled and praised, "Not bad, Maria. With suchintelligence, it won't be an issue for you to study in England."

"Who's going to England?" Maria shook her head immediately, "I have to stay here to look at myidol."

"Your idol," Gary said in a deep voice.

Maria was stunned for a while before she exclaimed, "What? My idol is going to England?"

"That's right."

Maria was shocked. She slumped on Gary's bed, clasped her hands together, and immediately feltnervous about it.

She mumbled, "How could I not know about it? Why was there no news regarding this from themedia at all? Could this really be true? This is so sudden; just when I've finally decided not to goabroad."

"So?" Gary asked again.

Maria raised her eyes in panic and looked into Gary's eyes as her heart tightened, "Are you beingserious?"

"The news will be released soon."

"Then let's talk about it after the news is released," Maria said, "If he is really going to England, I'llgo there and keep an eye on Ernest and Celeste."

Gary smiled. There was determination and confidence in his eyes, "Deal."

"I don't understand. Since you can plan so strategically, why don't you make Celeste go to theUnited States as well? Why must you go through such a big trouble?"

"If I don't, would she be able to think this through?"

Maria shook her head and said, "Although I think what you said does make sense, Gary, I need towarn you that you're really too smart, so you better be careful of potentially losing after everythingyou've planned."

"No, that won't happen," Gary remained so confident that it was maddening.

Maria glared at him and said, "Maybe. Hurry up and go downstairs now. If you stay here any longer, they are going to say you're not sensible."

Gary nodded and the two of them headed downstairs together.

When she went downstairs, Maria felt that Ernest's gaze was particularly sharp. When she looked athim again, he had a smile on his face.

However, Maria still couldn't help but shiver; the hair on the back of her neck stood.
