Chapter 1189

However, to Yvonne's surprise, Zachary said to his daughter on the phone, "Maria, Mommy andDaddy are going to Southland for a few days. Tell your grandma that."

"Why are you going to Southland?" Maria suddenly became interested. "I also want to go toSouthland."

Zachary paused; he did not have the heart to refuse Maria.

Maria had always been very well- behaved whenever she was with him and his mother; he reallywanted to take Maria with them.

However, Yvonne looked at him nervously, and the look in her eyes told him to refuse.

Zachary immediately refused, "No, you have to go to school. You're in primary school now, notkindergarten. You can't just skip school."

"Ugh!" Maria let out a bitter scoff. "I knew it. Yvonne had already taken Daddy's heart away."

Zachary didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He had to admit; it was indeed the case.

Without avoiding her claim, Zachary smiled and

asked, "Isn't this what you want? Your mommy can still win my heart and our family can be together,am I wrong?"

"I...!" Maria paused and didn't say anything for a long time. Finally, she said, "Fine. Just go. I won'task you to bring me along."

Yvonne also let out a sigh of relief. She was exactly worried about the child's education. Their trip toSouthland would take several days. If she played around too much, the child would forget to study.

It was not suitable to delay her studies for such a long time in primary school.

Zachary hung up the phone and looked at Yvonne's relaxed face. He asked softly, "Are you worriedthat it would interfere with Maria's education?"

"Yes." Yvonne nodded. "Fortunately, you don't spoil her to no ends."

Zachary smiled gently as he answered, "I spoiled her for a year. I'm more rational now. Fortunately,my mother is around."

Without his mother's help, Zachary really wouldn't have known how to raise a child. Therefore, hecould imagine how hard it was for Yvonne to raise the child alone for five years.

Yvonne's eyes were filled with apology. "I'm sorry, it's all my fault. I handed Maria to you withoutproper consideration."

Zachary stared at her.

Their eyes met.

Zachary's eyes teared up a little. Because even now, Yvonne was still not willing to tell him the trutheven though she was filled with guilt.

She had gone to the United States to treat her illness.

Did she not tell him because she didn't trust him enough?

Zachary blamed himself deep down. Perhaps it was because of his blame that Yvonne did not havemuch confidence in him.

So she did not reveal the reasons for her departure even until now.

It doesn't matter.

He could understand her.

Zachary smiled and wrapped her in his arms. He said, "Get in bed. It's getting late."

"Okay."

Yvonne nodded.

Even until now, Yvonne still didn't confess.novelbin

Zachary wasn't disappointed; his heart ached for her.

Yvonne nestled in his embrace; she felt extremely

warm.

She loved that they fell asleep in each other's embrace.

Yvonne let out a satisfied sigh from the bottom of her heart. It just felt too good. When they weretogether like this, they didn't have to separate. It was a beautiful scene.

He held her tightly in his arms.

Yvonne looked up and smiled at him.

It was this smile that was sparkling with light, indicating an invitation.

Or maybe Yvonne hadn't meant it that way, but Zachary had misinterpreted it.

In the end, Zachary's mind was shaken to the core by the woman in his arms.

The lights went out.

In the darkness, the two of them remained silent. The only sound that could be heard were their lowbreathing, which could be heard throughout their activity.

It wasn't until deep into the night that they fell asleep, exhausted.

Although Yvonne was tired, she woke up very early as they had to go register for their marriage.

The man next to her was still asleep. He did not wear pajamas, and she could see his musculararms. One of his arms was still wrapped around her slender waist.

Yvonne gently removed his arm and sat up.

She looked at the sleeping face of the man next to her. Zachary had long lashes, a tall nose, fulllips; his facial features were distinct.

As she gazed at him, her eyes were filled with tenderness.

She did not expect that her dream would come true so easily. Every day when she woke up, theman next to her was the man whom she loved deeply, the only man she loved deeply in her life.

She couldn't help but lower her head and kiss his lips. But suddenly, he grabbed her by the waist.

"Uh."

Yvonne cried out in alarm. Zachary had already opened his eyes, and his long eyelashes sweptagainst her face. It was a little ticklish.

He had turned the tides.

Zachary deepened the kiss before he finally let go of her. He then said lazily, "Is the reason you'reup so early that you're eager to become Mrs. Lowe?"

Yvonne didn't expect him to ask so directly. She nodded and answered, "Yes, I really want to beMrs. Lowe."

Zachary stared into Yvonne's eyes as he put a hand at the back of Yvonne's head. He pressed itdown on him and sealed her lips shut with his.

It was only early in the morning, and she had already been kissed twice.

Yvonne looked at Zachary with a red face. "Let's go. Get up and wash up. We'll register before wego to Southland."

"Have you made up your mind to take me to meet your family?" Zachary asked.

Yvonne looked at him as she fell deep into thoughts. "Zachary, my family might have a slightprejudice against you. When the time comes, they might not be very nice to you."

At the end of the day, he had made her pregnant before they got married.

However, this pregnancy was of her own free will. She was reluctant to get rid of his flesh andblood, Maria. She was the warmest and sweetest link between them.

There was no doubt that Maria was the result of their love.

She looked at Zachary worriedly, but he looked relaxed. He looked at Yvonne and answered softly,"If I can't handle a bit of prejudice, then there is no need for me to marry you."

"So you're saying you're already prepared for it?" she asked.

Zachary nodded confidently. "Don't worry. I should be much better than that Wesley, right?"

Thinking of Wesley.

Yvonne fell into a daze.

"About that, he's just someone that my grandma thinks is suitable to be her granddaughter-in-law. Inever said yes to him. Please don't get me wrong." she explained hastily.

"If I've misunderstood, do you think I would let you live so peacefully in this period of time?" Zacharylooked at her with a calm smile.

Yvonne gazed at him in confusion, instantly feeling much more relaxed. "So you didn'tmisunderstand."

"No," he confirmed in a low voice.

Yvonne looked at Zachary for a long time. After she was sure that he was not angry, she felt muchbetter.

A smile appeared at the corner of her mouth. Her eyes curved into a joyous smile.

Zachary looked at her bright smile, and his gaze changed into one that was gentle and affectionate,"Get up, let's get married."

"Okay!" Yvonne nodded. The two of them went to wash up and change their clothes. She then puton some makeup and went straight to the Civil

Affairs Bureau with Zachary.
