Chapter 146

Chapter 146Before anyone could say anything, Suzanne pushed her plate away and demanded angrily, “Lindsey, just tell me if you have anygrievances against me. Don’t resort to such lowly tactics. It's very unbecoming.”

The reason Lindsey dared to bully Suzanne so openly was because Nathan moved out of the master bedroom and slept in theguest room last night.

She was certain Nathan harbored extreme disgust toward Suzanne, just like everyone else in the room.

Lindsey gestured at the others with a sweeping motion and said, “It’s not just me who dislikes you. Every single person heredespises a despicable woman like you. Don’t you know what kind of perso are? Are you not self-aware?”

Gary spoke up with a hint of anger, “Lin, that’s going too far.”

Displeased, Lindsey said, “Gary, stay out of this. Today, | will clea the trash in the Morrison family. We absolutely cannot let thiswom continue staying in this house and tarnishing our family’s reputatio

“I've already contacted the professors and professional appraisers from the Artists Association to come over, as well asjournalists and reporters from the media. Of course, a team of lawyers will be present to sue her as well.”

Upon hearing this, some at the table were bewildered, while some were excited.

Nathan's expression was cold and forbidding. He balled his fists and gripped the utensils in his hand tightly, causing the veins onthe back of his hands to bulge.

Nonetheless, Lindsey didn’t notice the icy tension radiating fromNathan.

She became increasingly smug as she spoke, “I’ve also invited the real Inkwell to come in person. Today, | will completely ruinSuzanne’s reputation and kick her out of the Morrison family.

“| will let the whole world know of her despicable tricks and cunning schemes. Let’s see how she will face-”Lindsey's words were cut short by the loud bang. Everyone was startled and turned to look at Nathan.

Furious, Nathan’s expression was as dark as an impending storm. He stood up, and his abrupt movements caused the chairbehind him to crash to the floor.

As everyone’s gaze fell upon him, they noticed his sharp eyes resembled a fierce beast that could swallow everything in its Theywere frozen in fear.

Bewildered, Lindsey’s face turned pale with fear. She still hadn’t realized what she had done wrong. She explained hastily, “Nate,I'm just trying to help you. Why are you blaming me instead?”

At this moment, Duke spoke up for Lindsey, “Nathan, can’t you see Aunt Lindsey's good intentions? You are the leader of theNorvanian.

“She was born in the slums with a lowly family background. To get out of her predicament, she climbed her way up by selling herbody. What’s more, she seduced men to marry into wealthy families and swindled them out of their money. She-”

“Shut up,” Nathan couldn’t bear to hear another word and cut Duke off coldly.

Duke was frightened and fell silent. He dared not continue speaking. Nathan walked around the dining table and stood in front ofSuzanne. When he took her hand, Suzanne looked at him with a hopeful glance. At this moment, her heart was comforted byNathan’s actions after feeling distressed the whole night.

It turned out that Nathan didn’t completely hate her. He still stepped forward to defend her when she was getting attacked by of“Let's go,” Nathan said softly.

Suzanne didn’t move. “Where to?”
