Chapter 1276

The crisp sound of applause came from behind. It was Lloyd, who had just gotten out of the car.

When he saw the scene in front of him, he was not only not astonished but expressed appreciationinstead, “Your insect technique has become more and more extraordinary. What an eye–opener.”

When he finished speaking, he was only a step away from the cloaked figure.

He stared at the person with a smile. “My old friend, you came all the way to Flandom. Why are youwearing a cloak?

“Is there a need for us to be so formal around each other?”

From the tone of his voice, it was clear that the two were old acquaintances, and their relationship wasquite close!

“Hahahaha…”

The cloaked figure could not help but laugh upon hearing those words.

As he laughed, he lowered the hood of the cloak and revealed a familiar face. It was the Insect Ruler!

“Lloyd, my friend. It’s been too long!” the Insect Ruler also greeted with a laugh.

Others who did not know might think that they were close friends who knew each other well. In reality, both were cunning old foxes with their own agendas.

“Hahaha…”

Lloyd also laughed heartily.

After a round of pleasantries, the Insect Ruler asked seriously, “How’s your plan going? Is everythinggoing smoothly?”

The smile on Lloyd’s face also gradually faded, and he said, “I just came back from the Sauro Churchheadquarters. Everything is going smoothly. The Pontiff has joined and agreed to kill AndriusMoonshade during the competition in Praxis.”

As soon as he spoke, the Insect Ruler could not help but applaud. “Good. Very good! St. Dmitri hasalways been cunning. If not for his son being harmed this time, it would have taken some effort to gethim involved. Well done, Lloyd!”

It was clear that this was an organized and deliberate operation.novelbin

Lloyd did not comment and only expressed his doubt, “Insect Ruler, there’s still something I don’t quiteunderstand.

“With your skills, you can easily conduct various experiments in Florence. It should not be difficultexecuting the plan given Florence’s population and vast territory. Why bother coming all the way to theObaro continent to seek cooperation?”

That was what Lloyd had always been puzzled about. It would be a constant nagging in his heart if hedid not figure it out.

“It’s because of the Wolf King.” The Insect Ruler’s eyes flashed with hostility, and his tone held a hint ofresentment. “He claims to uphold justice and save the common people, so he destroyed all my insectsoldier experimental bases.

“As you know, my reputation in Florence isn’t the best. Prolonged exposure will lead to everyoneattacking me. That’s why I came to the Obaro continent. I’m here to seek cooperation and accomplish

my great cause.”

No wonder.

Lloyd immediately connected the dots.

The Insect Ruler and Old Hagstorm’s conflict probably had to do with the Wolf King.

“Don’t worry.” The Insect Ruler looked at Lloyd and said in a low voice, “As long as you help mecomplete the plan and resurrect the demon emperor, I’ll help you deal with Old Hagstorm.

“I’ll also deal with Dmitri and that knight, Theodore. I’ll help you ascend to the position of the overlord ofthe Obaró continent!”

The Insect Ruler wanted live subjects and corpses for his insect soldier experiments.

On the other hand, Lloyd wanted to take over the Obaro continent.

Their cooperation was born out of this common goal.

“Hahaha…” Lloyd burst into laughter at the Insect Ruler’s words. “Insect Ruler, words aren’t enough forthat. It’ll depend on the final outcome of your actions!” The Insect Ruler raised his brows, his tonecarrying a playful hint. “Lloyd, you mean…”

Lloyd looked at the Insect Ruler and said seriously, “Old Hagstorm has been entrenched in Florence formany years, and his depths are hard to fathom. I don’t consider myself his match.

“Whether or not we take our cooperation further will depend on your strength, Insect Ruler.”
