“The reason for my visit is…” She paused briefly before remarking cynically, “I came to see whetheryou really are dead. After all, you were supposedly reduced to ashes in a cemetery.”
He wasn’t upset. “Are you happy I’m alive?” He sarcastically said, crossing his arms against his chestand leaning against the door frame.
She rolled her eyes at him and turned around. “I’m not going to give up. Since you’re still alive, our warhas officially begun.”
Renee went down the stairs and spotted Timothy pretending to read the newspapers on the sofa.
She squinted at the old man suspiciously. “Were you in on this, Grandpa Hunt?”
