“Pain?” Jovan scoffed, his gaze distant. “I know what it feels like to lose something. I’ve lived in thatdark abyss for ages, and I think nothing will be more painful than that.” In the past, he had ownedRenee briefly, and that time had been the most relaxing and happiest in his life even though he hadbeen blind and disabled. “Don’t turn me down just yet. This contract is effective on a long-term basis, or at least until I die. Comeand sign it once you’ve thought it through,” Timothy said persuasively.
“No, that day won’t come. There’ll only be one outcome in this-either he dies, or I die!” Jovan snarled,then stood up and left Timothy’s room.
