Chapter 1557

Chapter 1557

“A breakthrough?’ “Yes, a point of realization for you both that will finally make the both of you chooseeach other.” Renee hoped they could reach that point because both she and Stefan had experienced ittoo. She knew full well how terrible it felt to be trapped in an ambiguous relationship; Leia and Xavierwould only realize that they were meant for each other after going through hardships together.

As the night went on, Renee and Leia’s conversations grew deeper. Leia had spoken a lot, and after awhile, she fell asleep with tears on her cheeks. However, Renee couldn’t fall asleep because she feltlike this was just the calm before the storm…

What she didn’t know was that Jovan’s car was parked outside the manor.

The street lights illuminated Jovan’s face as he sat in the car, bathing half of his face in light and theother in darkness. It reflected his current state well-he never knew if he was a good person or a badone. He had been waiting for a long time outside the manor and had heard the soft conversation fromwithin. He was sure that Renee was blind, and it was clear who she had given her eyes to…

When Jovan was on his way there, he had thought of what he would do when he reached EverheartManor. He wanted to grab Renee by the shoulders and ask her how she could have been stupidenough to give her eyes to a useless person like him. However, he hesitated when he arrived at herhouse. He couldn’t find the words to say, and he couldn’t return her eyes to her. After experiencing thatendless darkness, he didn’t want to go back to that hell. Not being able to see had been bad enough, but having to rely on someone to do things like wash his underwear was downright humiliating.BooksChapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updates…

The worst part of it all had been becoming a worthless person-he had lost everything, including thewoman he loved.

He stayed outside the manor all night, staring at the doorbell but unable to ring it. “I’m sorry, Renee…Please forgive me for being so selfish. I lost you once, but it won’t happen again. I’ll do whatever ittakes to make you mine, even if it means becoming a monster!” Jovan promised fiercely before leavingthe manor quietly, as if he had never been there at all.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

A sudden knock woke Stefan up from his sound sleep. He got up and opened the door, and wasshocked to see Renee standing there. “Oh, dear! Why are you here alone? You’re going to be thedeath of me, woman. Come inside!” Stefan led her into the wooden house and grabbed a coat to wraparound her. He checked her and made sure she was okay, then sighed in relief. He stared at her inbewilderment, vaguely wondering if she was faking her blindness. “How did you even get here? Youcame here from the second floor, but you’re not hurt at all.”novelbin

“Is it really that difficult?” Renee raised her brows and said smugly, “I put a mini tracker on you whichtells me your location, and the app will guide me there. So, don’t even think of abandoning me-l canfind you no matter where you hide!”
