The car horn blared noisily again. Zhou Lie's expression sank as he walked out of the house gloomily.
"What a nuisance! Didn't they say they'll only arrive tomorrow?" Liu Minglan grumbled. She squeezed asmile at Yun Muqing and said, "Sorry for the interruption, Muqing. Please make yourselves at home."
"It's okay, Minglan. I'll see what I can help in the kitchen." Yun Muqing was a perceptive person, andshe knew she should excuse herself. She beckoned at Duo Duo and said, "Come with me, Duo Duo."
"No, I want to stay with Daddy." Duo Duo said and shook her head. Chu Feng smiled and nodded atYun Muqing, indicating her not to worry.
"Didn't Uncle Yang's entire family relocate to Yanjing to expand their business? Why are they back hereall of a sudden?" Chu Feng asked Zhou Ying.
Chu Feng had a vague impression of Zhou Yang, Zhou Lie's elder brother.
Zhou Yang used to be a government official in Jiangling. He was not very capable, but he alwaysbehaved as though he was superior to everyone else. He would take every chance to impart lifelessons to other people.
Gao Shan, Zhou Lie's wife, was bad-tempered and materialistic. She was almost as bad as Li Fengqin.

Zhou Peng, their son, was focused on playing a game on his phone. Occasionally, he would shoot adisdainful glance at his surroundings. He would not have voluntarily stepped into such a run-downlocation.
Liu Minglan smiled sheepishly, while Zhou Lie took a drag on his pipe. "That's the way it is over here. Ifyou don't like it, you can always leave. No one's stopping you."
