Chapter 300
Chu Feng indulged in the warmth of his family. He carried his daughter to the dining table with a radiantsmile on his face.
The dinner he had earlier with the Tang family was part of work. He was still hungry since he did not eatmuch.
Duo Duo could not wait for another second. She looked adorable when she scarfed down her food.
"Slow down. No one's going to take it away from you." Chu Feng said to his daughter as he poured aglass of juice for her. He glanced at all the delicacies on the table in awe and asked, "Muqing, you'vemade all of these by yourself?"
Yun Muqing was seemingly embarrassed upon hearing that question. She said, "No. I ordered most ofthem from First Kitchen. Most of it was pre-cooked so I only made some minor additions to them. But Ican assure you that I am currently refining my culinary skills; I'll be sure to prepare a real feast all bymyself next time."
Yun Muqing gazed at Chu Feng longingly. She continued, "Chu Feng, I'm grateful for everything youdid for me. If it weren't for you, I could never be promoted to a director, and I would have still beenlooked down on by the others. I have no idea how to repay you, so I've spent half of my salary thismonth just to prepare this feast for you. I hope you don't mind."
Chu Feng was touched. He grinned and said, "Of course not. I don't mind at all. Besides, we don't haveto be so formal with each other you know. I'll handle all the cooking and chores from now on. All youneed to do is to thoroughly enjoy your life."
Chu Feng indulged in the warmth of his family. He carried his daughter to the dining table with a radiantsmile on his face.
Yun Muqing nodded her head with rosy cheeks. Chu Feng smiled gently as he proceeded to pour aglass of wine for her. Both of them were engulfed in love and happiness.
"Hey! Can you two cut that out? I haven't started eating yet and you two are acting all lovey-dovey rightin front of me. Have you ever thought about how I feel? You're making me lose my appetite!" Yun Muyuexclaimed. novelbin
The drumstick in her hand became tasteless as she was overwhelmed by envy.
Duo Duo squinted her eyes and chuckled. She said, "Aunt Muyu, since you've lost your appetite, then Ishall eat your chocolate cake for you. If it's for the sake of your health, then I don't mind gaining weightat all."
"I sincerely thank you for that," Yun Muyu uttered begrudgingly as she rolled her eyes.
Chu Feng and Yun Muqing smiled at each other. The atmosphere was as lively as ever.
The weekend had arrived. The bustling city seemed calmer as everyone finally had some time to restafter a busy work week.
However, Duo Duo was quite unfortunate. She was supposed to snuggle in bed for the whole morning,but Yun Muqing dragged her out of bed. She had to get prepared for her dancing class.
The little girl looked at Chu Feng with teary eyes longing to be rescued. "Daddy, I don't want to go todancing class. I just want to stay at home with you. Please let me stay." Duo Duo pleaded.
"Hm, the weather is great today. It's a good day for dancing." Chu Feng said.
He then turned around and pretended to read some newspapers. He silently hoped that his daughterwould have a pleasant and unforgettable weekend.
Yun Muqing usually would not intervene with the way Chu Feng treated his daughter. However, shewas extremely domineering and took total control when it came to education. Chu Feng dared notargue with her over the matter.
After Chu Feng sent them off on their way, he proceeded with his daily routine: jogging andshadowboxing.
After an hour of training, Chu Feng returned home. As he stepped into the house, he was taken abackby the sight of Yun Muyu preparing breakfast for him.
"Ah! You're back. I've prepared sandwiches, milk, and fried eggs just for you." Yun Muyu said with abright smile on her face.
Things were certainly out of the blue. Yun Muyu would have still been in bed at this hour.
"Since when did you become so kind to me?" Chu Feng said as he took a sip of milk cautiously. Hecontinued, "Go on. Tell me what you're up to."
"I'm not up to anything at all. I’m just being nice to you. That's all." Yun Muyu said gracefully as she
formed a finger heart.
She could not hide her true intentions for a split second longer. She said, "Actually, I…”
"Stop right there." Chu Feng insisted. He tore a piece of bread and faintly continued, "You shouldn’tseduce your brother-in-law."
Yun Muyu was stunned. Her cheeks blushed to a bright red. She said, "What? You've got the wrongidea!"
