“Oh? Terenzio’s disappeared, you say?” replied Daryl—who was in his hut—quite nonchalantly. Thenews itself wasn’t all that surprising to him. After all, though he hadn’t taught much to Gerald, the boywas still a Crawford by blood. In other words, Daryl didn’t doubt Gerald’s natural talent.
Regardless, Will then clenched his fists as he replied, “That’s right! I’ve been trying to contact him for afew days now to no avail… I’m just worried that he fought with Gerald and ended up… Well… I’m justworried that Gerald’s killed him!”
Will was naturally uneasy by this. After all, Daryl was already treating him as his own son and everyoneon the island knew that he was to be Daryl’s successor. With that in mind, he saw Gerald—who wasDaryl’s grandson—as a natural threat to his position, and the only way Will would be able to feel atease would be by killing Gerald…

We’re alsopretty sure that you’re the only person who’s constantly been in contact with him. Are you seriouslytelling us that you have no idea where he is now?”
