Chapter 980

Chapter 980

In a world of power and influence, two men stood at the pinnacle of their respective fields. One a

business tycoon, the other a political force. Both were unmatched in their realms.

Cecilia’s twisted affair with Fred in another lifetime cleared many obstacles in her path. In this life, she

was determined not to let anything or anyone stand in her way.

“Is everything taken care of?” Cecilia demanded impatiently, her voice tinged with triumph. She

caressed her belly and climbed into a waiting car, her eyes glinting with determination.

Cecilia mused to herself, “You think you’ve won, Zach. But in the past life, even after marrying that

worthless Madelyn, you still discarded her. People change, and in the end, you’ll see I’m the only onenovelbin

meant for you. The feeling of the two most outstanding, most powerful men falling at the mercy of my

charms is something you wouldn’t understand even if you lived two lifetimes, Madelyn. You’re destined

to be overshadowed by me.”

The car sped away into the night, leaving behind a man in the shadows. He held a sharp stone, his

eyes gleaming with malice as he approached Grace, still struggling for life. With a twisted smile, he

brought the stone down mercilessly.

Meanwhile, Blake’s heart pounded with anxiety in the car. It was past midnight, and the plane was

about to depart. They had just enough time.

Suddenly, the driver noticed several black cars following them closely. As one of the cars aggressively

maneuvered alongside them, he cursed under his breath. “F*ck! What the hell do they want?!”

Mya slept soundly, oblivious to the danger. Blake bit her lip in frustration and said, “Wake up, Mya! Fred

is on our tail!”

A sudden stop jolted everyone in the car. Mya, still drowsy, mumbled incoherently and fell back asleep.

Blake realized they had no chance against Fred if it came to a showdown. If one of them had to be

captured, it would undoubtedly be Mya. But Blake could not bear the thought of Mya suffering at Fred’s

hands.

They were surrounded on an empty street, far from any help. Blake stepped out of the car, raising her

hands in surrender, as Fred approached them menacingly. She said nervously, “Mr. Turner, what a

coincidence meeting you again so soon!”

Riley looked at Blake with disdain and said, “You broke your promise, Ms. Dion. Do you understand the

consequences?”

Fred’s cold gaze pierced through the night. He seemed to have lost his patience and asked coldly,

“Where’s Mya?”

“She’s resting in the car,” Blake pointed. “She took her medicine before we left. It makes her sleep

deeply.”

“What medicine?” Fred questioned.

“Just some herbal medicine for her brain,” Blake replied awkwardly while pointing at her head.
