Chapter 945

Margaret disappointedly looked at Zach, who she thought was foolish.

She pondered, 'Can't he tell this woman's obvious act of trying to cause conflict between him and Ms.

Jent? Can't he see that this woman has ill intentions?'

Margaret sighed, "Mr. Jardin, I have to tell you that Ms. Jent does dislike you. You brought a female

outsider back and even said such harsh words to Ms. Jent. It would probably be impossible if you

hoped for her to change her mind in the future.

"She never wanted to be close to Dalton. She was afraid she wouldn't be able to leave him if she got

attached to him. Now, with everything that has happened, the only feeling Ms. Jent has for you is

disappointment. And she's even more inclined to leave now."

Margaret believed that in a "martial dispute," the child would end up getting hurt. She had lived a longnovelbin

life and knew a thing or two about human relationships.

She thought, 'Ms. Jent looks like she cares about Dalton. But she's never acknowledged him as her

child.

'No matter how sensible Dalton is or how much he calls her 'mama,' Ms. Jent won't develop any more

feelings for him. She doesn't want to be hesitant when she decides to leave in the future.'

Margaret went upstairs. Zach and Madelyn were neglecting Dalton, but Margaret could not. That was

because she believed she had to do what she needed to do as she was paid.

Now, only Cecilia and Zach were in the living room.

"Zach, don't tell me you really have feelings for Madelyn," Cecilia sounded anxious. She had always

thought everything was under control. But now, she started to feel a little panicked, "So, it's true? Ah...

Zach Jardin! All this time, I thought you were just playing with her!

"Don't forget that you and Madelyn are blood-related..."

Before she could finish speaking, Zach, who was already furious, grabbed her throat. His eyes were

red and terrifying. He dragged her for several feet before ruthlessly pressing her against the wall.

At that moment, Zach became even more furious and shouted, "Keep talking if you want to die!"

...

Madelyn arrived at the station.

The ticket seller said, "I'm sorry, miss. You need to use your own identification card to buy a ticket. It's

very strict now. We need to verify the last four digits of your identification number and perform a facial

comparison before we can let you enter the station."

Jordan said, "Ms. Jent, where are you buying a ticket to? If you leave, Mr. Jardin will find out soon

enough."

Madelyn disappointedly returned Jordan's identification card to him, "I overthought it. Forget it. Let's go

back."

Jordan responded, "Where do you want to go? How about I take you there?"

Madelyn was holding a painting in her hand. She lifted her hand to glance at her watch, "Let's go back

to the studio for now."

Just as she turned around to leave, the ticket seller answered a phone call, "Yes, Ms. Jent came to the

station. But she didn't have her identification card with her. She just left."

The person on the other end of the call said something before the ticket seller responded, "Yes, she

just left the station... Alright, Mr. Harrison. I'll definitely keep an eye on her whereabouts."

After the brief conversation, the ticket seller at the front desk hung up the call.

At Jardin Corporation, Kevin reported after the phone call conversation ended, "Ms. Jent has already

gone back."

Kevin opened the location tracker on his tablet and handed it to Zach, "This is her current location. It

seems like she's at Prof. Monet's studio."

Zach had expected that the first thing Madelyn would do after leaving Southern Haven Villas was to

escape.

If he did not have his current status and power, he would be unable to do anything once she left, just

like how she disappeared without a trace four years ago.
