Chapter 879

Pamela was a top hostess in Nightfall. Everyone who had been frequenting nightclubs knew about

Fred's ruthlessness.

Fred loved women, especially married women. The woman who had offended him last time was pulled

off the roof by her husband along with her child.

People like Fred had no morals and switched between women very frequently.novelbin

Mya, who was still unaware of the impending danger, was confused. She took several steps back.

Fred's henchmen were behind her, so she could not escape.

When she saw him approach her, she asked, "W-What are you trying to do?"

While she was talking, Fred had already gone behind Mya. He unfastened the silver necklace before

helping Mya to wear it around her neck.

The sales assistant had never seen someone being so fickle before. She quickly realized what was

happening. She then took a mirror and held it in front of Mya, "Miss, you have excellent taste. This

necklace suits you very well."

Fred said, "Pack it."

Mya seemed puzzled as she stared at him.

Before she even realized what was happening, Fred's voice could be heard again, "Do you want to buy

anything else?"

Mya was not tall, only five feet two. When she turned her head, she even found it a little difficult to look

at Fred, who was much taller. Her wide-open eyes were filled with confusion and shock.

Fred had seen everyone being afraid of him, but he had never seen someone looking at him with

attentive eyes and showing no fear. The innocence shown in her eyes was absolutely genuine and

untainted, without any hidden agendas or deceit.

Mya slowly lowered her guard against him. She felt perplexed. She then lowered her head and grabbed

the necklace, "Why'd you buy this for me? Do we know each other?"

She thought, 'We've only met a few times, why is he buying me this?'

Fred was tall and slender. He had broad shoulders and a narrow waist. He wore a dark long coat and a

military belt. There was a silver eagle pin hanging on his chest. His gaze was cold as he placed his

hand on Mya's waist.

He found her waist soft but not delicate enough.

Mya had two conflicting voices in her mind. She could not decide what to do. After an internal struggle,

Mya thought of her past experiences, 'I'd been deceived, and it almost caused me to lose my parents. I

even got locked in a warehouse where I didn't have enough to eat. I've sworn that I'd never trust a man

again.'

Mya stretched her hand to remove the necklace from her neck and placed it on the glass counter. She

then ran out of the mall without saying a word.

Upon seeing her escaping, Fred's rarely gentle eyes instantly turned cold. He said, "Get her back to

me."

"Yes."

A group of his people then chased after her while Mya had already driven out of the mall. However,

they had no intention of letting her leave easily.

In a crowded street, Mya's car was forced to stop moving.

She rolled down the car window and asked, "Who are you guys? What do you want?"

One of Fred's henchmen said, "Our boss has no ill intentions. He just wants you to come with us."

Mya knew they were not to be trifled with, so she reluctantly parked by the roadside before following

them back into the mall.

However, they did not bring her back to the place before. Instead, they took her to a private room in an

upscale restaurant.

Fred was sitting in the main seat with his legs crossed. He was holding a menu on his lap. When the

door of the private room was opened, Fred did not lift his head, and Mya was pushed inside by his

henchmen.

Fred said, "Come over and see what you'd like to eat."

A waiter poured two cups of tea and left. Now, there were only the two of them in the private room.

Mya just stood near the door without approaching Fred. She noticed a small, exquisite black box with a

ribbon tied in a bowknot near his hand.

She said, "S-Sir, we aren't acquainted. And my father told me not to have dinner with strangers."

'I haven't heard such a joke in a long time,' Fred thought before smiling as he said, "There are no such

things as strangers. Everyone becomes close with enough interaction.

"Come sit next to me." Fred deliberately put down the menu on his lap before pulling out the chair

beside him. He then signaled her to come over with his gaze.

He asked, "Are you afraid of me?"

Mya thought, 'Am I afraid of him? I'm not sure. I don't know him well. He just looks somewhat

dangerous. But come to think about it, he hasn't done anything to hurt me.'

Upon seeing her remain still, Fred spoke again, "I saved you last time. You forgot to invite me for a

meal."

The hesitation in Mya's eyes was gone instantly as she exclaimed with an 'ah'. She then responded,

"So, you want me to treat you to a meal?"

There were many hidden thoughts in Fred's eyes. When he saw her innocent look, he continued to

speak in line with what she said, "What else did you think?"

Mya dropped her guard against him. She smiled with dimples as she walked over to him and sat beside

him. She then grabbed the menu from his lap, "You should've just said that earlier. I thought you were

going to do something to me. I'm hungry anyway. But let's make a deal, I'll treat you to this meal only."

Fred leaned back in his chair with one hand on the armrest and the other pressing his temple. He lazily

looked at Mya, "Okay."

Mya addressed him by name and asked, "Fred Turner, are you a bad person like Zach Jardin?"

Other than Zach, it had been a long time since anyone dared to call Fred by his full name.

Fred did not show any anger as he answered, "I catch the bad people."

Mya ordered a few dishes. Upon hearing his answer, her eyes lit up, "In that case, can you catch Zach,

the bad guy?"
