Ethan used the excuse of needing to sober up and took Madelyn to the rest area.
As soon as they entered, Madelyn felt guilty, "I'm sorry. The phone call earlier was indeed from Yvonne.
I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to worry. I didn't think they'd come."

She would call his name and apologize to him tearfully in her dreams.
