Regardless of Jadie's actions of putting everything on the line today, Zach's decisions were resolute
and unwavering. He lifted her and drove to SereneCare Hospital.
In the emergency room, Kai calmly stitched up Jadie's wound. "I never expected such a delicate girl
would risk her life for you. Haven't you ever thought about giving in to her? Madelyn is going to marry
Mr. Arnold. It's a done deal. Unless you can take down the Arnold Corporation quickly, you won't be
able to take Madelyn away from him.
"Oh! There's something crucial you must remember. According to the DNA test, you and Madelyn are
siblings. If you two really get together, it could lead to significant consequences! Tsk! I never thought
someone could actually like a person as rotten as you."
Kai laughed, "How rare is that!"
"Are you finished?" Zach turned away from the floor-to-ceiling window. He furrowed his brows, and his
tone revealed a hint of annoyance.
Kai finished suturing and wrapped Jadie's wound up with a bandage. "Don't look at me like that. I want
to live longer. Besides, there's something I haven't told you. I'm the one who did the plastic surgery for
Wincy. What do you think?"
Zach asked, "What tricks are you playing again?"
Kai took off his gloves and tossed them in the trash. "You know I have several hospitals under my
ownership. Naturally, I'm involved in any profitable medical projects, including medical aesthetics.
"Three years ago, Wincy came in for plastic surgery when she was about to go abroad. I was at the
hospital, so I provided her with a consultation. She noticed the photo on my desk and requested a
similar look. Surprisingly, she recovered well and turned out just as expected after the surgery.
"However, one thing to note is while Wincy's face may not be great, her figure is somewhat similar to
Madelyn's. In hindsight, it was fate. I told you before that you'd fall for Madelyn, but you didn't listen.
And now, Wincy showed up. Why not keep her as your mistress? It suits your tastes, doesn't it?
"Randall is dead, and Wincy won't pose much of a threat to you. She might even contribute to Azure
Corporation. If you can't have Madelyn, a counterfeit one isn't so bad."
Zach had one hand in his pocket and the other casually toying with the sharp surgical scalpel. He
looked nonchalant and said, "Are you sure I can't have her? Want to make a bet?"
Kai looked at him and asked, "What's the wager?"
A wicked smile crept onto Zach's lips, "Lana."
"Haha!" Kai's sinister face wore an even more triumphant smile. "Alright, I'll take that bet. However, I
don't want Jadie. If I say I want Madelyn, would you be willing to give her up?"
"You're willing to harm even your sister-in-law, so why wouldn't I be willing to give up Madelyn?"
"You're so heartless. Don't mess things up later. If not, Madelyn will be upset. Young girls are thenovelbin
hardest to console."
"You don't have to worry about this," said Zach.
"Are you sure this is what you want to do? If you ruin the engagement ceremony and the Arnold family
finds out, you'll be in deep trouble for the rest of your life. Even Hayson won't be able to protect you this
time."
Zach lowered his head and lightly ran his thumb along the knife's sharp blade. With just a slight
movement, he had cut a small wound, causing a bead of blood to emerge. However, he did not seem
to care. His brows remained unfurrowed as he said, "I never do anything without confidence."
