Plus, I don’t want it to affect your mood, especially with exams coming up. Focus on your studies
for the next two months. Whether you pass or not, I respect your choice.”
Madelyn asked, “Just because of that?”

Ethan gently brushed his finger against her nose. “What else could it be?” He took a deep breath,

“If you want to go home, let’s go home. Besides, I’ve recently learned a few new dishes. I can make
something for you to try,” Madelyn said, her earlier concerns replaced by curiosity.
“When did you learn to cook?” she asked.
“It’s been a while,” Ethan replied. “Is there anything specific you’d like to eat?”
“I’m good with anything. I’ll help you later,” Madelyn offered.
