Chapter 359

Looking at how she dressed, one would think she looked like a top performer from a nightclub.

Her hairstyle was the trendiest among nightclubs over ten years ago. She was wearing a pair of

emerald gemstone earrings.

The women's watch on her hand was embedded with the most expensive diamonds, worth over two

million dollars.

However, to Hayson, this amount of money was no more than a drop in the ocean.

Jasmine walked toward Zach and pressed herself against his body. Her voice was alluring, "Seems like

he's after your girlfriend! You need to be careful!"

Zach's gaze turned cold as he pulled her hand that was resting on his chest away. He then distanced

himself from her.

Right at this moment, someone knocked on the office door.

Zach answered, "Come in!"

When Zach turned around, a subtle hint of unhappiness appeared on Jasmine's face.

Kevin pushed open the door and reported, "Ms. White is here."

Zach nodded, "Let her in."

Kevin conceded, "Okay."

Jasmine noticed his gaze. She smiled teasingly, "What's wrong? We're old lovers. Is there a problem

with people seeing us together?"

Zach did not respond. Jasmine chuckled as she continued, "Zach, I used to wonder what kind ofnovelbin

person could make you like them!

"You can deceive Hayson, but not me..."

She thought, 'Jadie? Who knows if Zach is just using her? He even exploited the closest person to him.

He's truly heartless.'

Jasmine was really looking forward to knowing the person who could make Zach disregard everything

and willingly step down from his pedestal.

She wondered if a person like Zach could genuinely fall in love with someone.

She swayed her waist as she left the office. Coincidentally, Jasmine bumped into Jadie at the entrance.

Jasmine smiled at her as she left.

Jadie was holding a multi-later thermal lunch box. "Zach, I'm sorry for disturbing you."

The coldness on Zach's face when he was with Jasmine disappeared. He pretended to look warm,

"Why are you here?"

Jadie said, "We haven't had a meal together in a long time. I bought your favorite chicken soup from

downstairs. Let's eat together!"

Zach replied, "Come over and sit down."

He then sat down on the couch. Jadie sat opposite him before opening the lunch box. Inside were the

few dishes that Zach often ate at home. She took out the dishes and said, "It might not taste as good

as what's made at home. After Rosario went back, you rarely eat at home. Your stomach isn't well. I'm

worried that you'll have a stomachache again."

Zach just responded, "You should be in class at this hour."

His response made the atmosphere awkward.

Jadie handed the fork to him. She looked hurt as she said, "I just wanted to come and see you."

In response, he said, "Let's eat."

Jadie was holding the bowl and fork, eating slowly. She was a little overwhelmed by the silence. She

felt uncomfortable but could not figure out what was bothering her.

After a long internal struggle, she finally expressed the thoughts that she had wanted to say, "Zach,

even though we're together, it feels like we're not."

She felt they were the same as before, even though they were now in a relationship. She often felt that

Zach was avoiding her.

Zach questioned, "What are you trying to say?"

Jadie explained, "I'm already asleep every time you come back. We only spend a short time together

when you take me to school. We also rarely eat together. Moreover... in over a month that we've been

together, we've never been on a date."

Jadie and Zach rarely held hands too.
