Chapter 980

In a world of power and influence, two men stood at the pinnacle of their respective fields. One abusiness tycoon, the other a political force. Both were unmatched in their realms.

Cecilia’s twisted affair with Fred in another lifetime cleared many obstacles in her path. In this life, shewas determined not to let anything or anyone stand in her way.

“Is everything taken care of?” Cecilia demanded impatiently, her voice tinged with triumph. Shecaressed her belly and climbed into a waiting car, her eyes glinting with determination.

Cecilia mused to herself, “You think you’ve won, Zach. But in the past life, even after marrying thatworthless Madelyn, you still discarded her. People change, and in the end, you’ll see I’m the only onemeant for you. The feeling of the two most outstanding, most powerful men falling at the mercy of mycharms is something you wouldn’t understand even if you lived two lifetimes, Madelyn. You’re destinedto be overshadowed by me.”

The car sped away into the night, leaving behind a man in the shadows. He held a sharp stone, hiseyes gleaming with malice as he approached Grace, still struggling for life. With a twisted smile, hebrought the stone down mercilessly.

Meanwhile, Blake’s heart pounded with anxiety in the car. It was past midnight, and the plane wasabout to depart. They had just enough time.

Suddenly, the driver noticed several black cars following them closely. As one of the cars aggressivelymaneuvered alongside them, he cursed under his breath. “F*ck! What the hell do they want?!”

Mya slept soundly, oblivious to the danger. Blake bit her lip in frustration and said, “Wake up, Mya! Fredis on our tail!”

A sudden stop jolted everyone in the car. Mya, still drowsy, mumbled incoherently and fell back asleep.

Blake realized they had no chance against Fred if it came to a showdown. If one of them had to becaptured, it would undoubtedly be Mya. But Blake could not bear the thought of Mya suffering at Fred’shands.

They were surrounded on an empty street, far from any help. Blake stepped out of the car, raising herhands in surrender, as Fred approached them menacingly. She said nervously, “Mr. Turner, what acoincidence meeting you again so soon!”

Riley looked at Blake with disdain and said, “You broke your promise, Ms. Dion. Do you understand theconsequences?”novelbin

Fred’s cold gaze pierced through the night. He seemed to have lost his patience and asked coldly,“Where’s Mya?”

“She’s resting in the car,” Blake pointed. “She took her medicine before we left. It makes her sleepdeeply.”

“What medicine?” Fred questioned.

“Just some herbal medicine for her brain,” Blake replied awkwardly while pointing at her head.
