Chapter 930

Chapter 930novelbin

Mya’s escape from the fifteenth floor of the hospital had not gone unnoticed. Someone had snappedpictures and videos of her escape and circulated them online swiftly.

Since the launch of Jardin Corporation’s social media platform, which had been promoted alongsidethe development of Al chips, keypad phones had become obsolete. The introduction of newsmartphones

marked the dawn of a new technological era.

Finishing his last meeting, Zach headed to SereneCare hospital.

In the ward, Kai was meticulously stitching up Madelyn’s finger wound, applying medicine withprecision. He said, “You know, you could be a bit more careful. Hurting yourself like this is senseless. Itpains him to see you in pain and ultimately, you’re the one who suffers.”

Madelyn remained expressionless, silent.

After Kai finished bandaging Madelyn’s finger, Lana entered and announced, “Kai, dinner’s ready.”

Madelyn withdrew her hand.

As Kai stood and stowed the medicine in the cabinet for Madelyn, he remarked, “Let’s go, her cookingis

quite good.”

After Lana left, Madelyn’s gaze filled with scrutiny followed Kai. Madelyn asked, “Is the child yours?”

Madelyn noticed Kai’s body stiffening for a moment. She smirked. “You’re just like him, always taking

things that don’t belong to you. What you’re doing will only harm her. You’re as despicable as he is.”

Just then, Zach’s voice neared from outside the ward. “Who upset you?” he asked as he entered, meeting

Madelyn’s icy stare.

Kai closed the drawer and left the room, giving them privacy.

Approaching Madelyn, Zach handed her something and said, “The old phones are obsolete now. Thisis

the new smartphone developed by our company, pretty similar to the one you used before. You should

find it familiar. I had a pink one made just for you. Try it and see if you like it.”

‘Do we already have smartphonés now? We should still be years away from these.’ Madelyn thought.

“Zach, Cecilia has helped you so much in the business world. You both have a knack for it, like a match

made in heaven. Marrying her would’ve been the best choice for you. Marrying me is like placing a

useless ornament at home. Even if… we got married… you’d grow bored of seeing the same faceevery

day,” said Madelyn.

Lana heard the commotion from the kitchen. She looked at Kai beside her and asked, “Are Madelynand Zach arguing again? Should we intervene?”

Every time Zach came, it seemed Madelyn would quarrel with him. It may be common to married

couples, but from Lana’s perspective, they did not seem like a married couple at all, more like enemies.

Kai covered Lana’s ears and said, “Let’s not eavesdrop. They’ll sort it out. We’ll leave the dinner tothem. I’ll take you out, so you don’t have to be upset by his presence.”

Lana smiled softly. She said, “It’s alright, I don’t mind. We live off your earnings, and I can’t contribute

much. It’s better to save money for the future.”

Kai touched Lana’s face tenderly and said, “That’s why you’re a considerate wife. Don’t worry. Youcouldn’t spend all my money even if you ate ten meals every day.”

Kai had his own medical patents, and his account had more than enough money to last them several

lifetimes.

On the other hand, Zach titled his head and ignored Madelyn’s rant. His gaze softened as he unboxedthe phone and handed her the sleek pink device. He said, “This color really suits you. I’ve downloadedlots of apps for you, all the information about drawing and design you might need, and the books in e-book format you usually read. So now you don’t have to go looking for books whenever you want toread

something.”
