Chapter 917

Chapter 917

Cecilia’s pupils instantly widened. When she saw Fred wanting to pull the trigger, she finally felt the fullextent of his sinister malice.

“No, you can’t do this. Fred, you can’t kill me!”

In the Ventropolis Prison, even the worst criminals entering could not leave alive.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

“Mr. Turner, something’s wrong with Ms. Harper.”

Fred patted Cecilia’s face with a cold and sinister smile. “If you ever try to pull something like this again,I’ll show you how it feels like to be used by twenty men at the same time.”

Mya curled up on the sofa in pain as her tears dampened the pillow. “Doctor, is my baby going to die?

“It hurts so much!”

Fred hurriedly came down from upstairs. His military boots tapped on the ground, creating the sound ofhasty footsteps. His eyes were filled with a hint of worry as he asked, “What’s going on? What baby?”

Mya held the pillow against her stomach. She lifted her head, and her eyelashes were soaked in tears.“Fred, my stomach hurts.

Fred sat down on the sofa and Mya instinctively lay on his lap.

“Where does it hurt?”

Mya grabbed his hand and placed it on her round belly, which was filled with the undigested food shehad earlier. “Here,” she told Fred.

Fred shifted his gaze to the doctor and asked, “How is she?”

“Mr. Turner, may I have a word?”

Fred comforted Mya. “Hold on. You’ll be fine soon.”

Then, they walked to the side.

The doctor told Fred, “I found that this young lady not only has some endocrine disorders and irregularmenstruation, but also a history of head injuries. I checked her past medical records and found that shesuffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. She seems to have previously been traumatized by somesevere physical or mental coercion, resulting in this mental illness. She may be fine under normalcircumstances if she’s not provoked, but if triggered, it could lead to life-threatening consequences.”

Fred’s expression darkened, as a hunt of indescribable ferocity appeared on his face. “What about thechild?”

The doctor shook his head. “For now, I haven’t found any signs of Ms. Harper being pregnant. Themorning sickness she experienced earlier was probably just caused by overeating.”

“I see. Prescribe some medicine for her then.”

“Sure, Mr. Turner.”novelbin

After the doctor left, Mya crawled toward Fred when she saw him approaching her. “Fred, is my babygone? I miss home already. Can you take me back?”

“Take the medicine first,” Fred said.

One of the female servants handed Fred the medicine. Fred took it and fed her the medicine. After that,Mya drank a large glass of warm water which made her feel a little better.

“Fred, when is Madelyn coming over to visit me?”
