Zach’s gaze remained on Madelyn’s face as he watched the blurry video. After a moment, he lookedaway, handing the tablet back, “Tell Mr. Frederick Tesla I’ll be on time for the Paris banquet.”
Kevin gave a slight nod, “Yes, Mr. Jardin.” After Kevin left, Zach turned to Cecilia, who stood besidehim, “What’s wrong? Aren’t you happy I’m bringing her back?”
“You still can’t let her go after all,” Cecilia said, her arms folded and her expression sulky. “Did youforget what I told you? In our previous lives, it was Madelyn who tore us apart. We even had a son. Ifnot for her, we wouldn’t have separated.”
