Chapter 592

The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 592

The waiter replied, “She just left. If you’re fast, you might find her.”

“Thanks,” Ethan replied, grabbing his jacket and running out. Outside, he looked around. There werecars, but no sign of Madelyn. He called her number on his phone.

“Sorry, the phone you’re calling is off…

Ethan tried calling again, but no luck. Actually, if Ethan had just looked behind him, he would’ve seenMadelyn standing there.

Ethan texted her: [Call me when you’re home. I’ll arrange your flight back to Paris. In a few days, someone will come to get you.]

Without looking back, Ethan jumped into his car and sped off. Madelyn held her phone tight. Herfingers were pale, and she felt hurt inside. Actually, Madelyn had sneaked behind Ethan earlier andheard everything he said on the phone.

Although she and Ethan were already engaged, she felt more like a homewrecker now. If it was onlyabout Donna, Madelyn wouldn’t have minded. ‘But they have a kid?’ thought Madelyn. ‘Zach got rid ofmy engagement ring because he knew the truth.”

She held her chest, feeling a sharp pain. She looked a mess as she walked away. ‘Once Father wakesup, I’ll let him handle it. After that, Ethan and I will be done,’ she thought.

Madelyn bought a few cans of beer and made her way to a spot by the lakeside. There were stillpeople out for walks at this hour.

Madelyn dialed Kennedy’s number. Kennedy was at his studio when his phone rang. He stoppedworking and picked up.

Before he could speak, Kennedy heard her voice, sounding a bit tipsy, Kennedy, do you know how tobook a plane ticket?” Hearing something off in her voice, he asked, “What happened?”

“Nothing. Ethan took my father to the hospital, and everything’s okay now. I want to go back to school.”Madelyn took another sip of her beer and realized her can was empty. She opened a new one.Kennedy quickly said, “When do you want to fly?”novelbin

“Tomorrow, around lunchtime.”

“Okay, don’t forget your ID when you go to the airport. They’ll give you your ticket there.”

“Do you remember the way to the hotel? Or do you want me to send someone?”

“I remember, I’m good,” Madelyn said.

“Alright!” Kennedy wanted to say more, but Madelyn had already hung up. Trying to open anotherdrink, the tab broke, and she dropped the can. It rolled away. Madelyn ran after it. But before she couldget it, someone’s shoes stopped the can.

She picked it up, her hair messy from the wind. When she looked up, her eyes were blurry, and shecouldn’t see who it was clearly.
