Madelyn said, “Brother…”
Zach’s curvy upper body muscles were sexy. The droplets of his sweat glided down his arms. The nextmoment, he bent down forcefully the next moment and pressed his body against hers. She did noteven have the chance to catch her breath.
Madelyn felt a sharp pain and was briefly lucid for a few seconds. Her soft lips were covered. Her voicewas suppressed within her throat.
When the sharp pain faded, Madelyn changed her moaning sound to cries for mercy. They went fromthe bed to the floor, then to the bathroom, and finally to the floor-to-ceiling window.
The entire room was filled with an atmosphere of sensuousness. During the time that had passed,Madelyn drifted in and out of consciousness countless times.
At three in the morning, the room gradually quieted down. Madelyn was completely unconscious,sleeping in Zach’s embrace.
The phone at the bedside displayed an incoming call from Ethan. Zach just faintly glanced at it. He thenthrew away the cigarette butt and let the phone continue ringing…
At the Arnold residence, it was dark outside the window. Evelyn was lying on the bed, looking unwell,“Do you know that Madelyn can’t conceive?”
Ethan did not deny it, “I do. So what? Madelyn is already chosen as the daughter-in-law of the Arnoldfamily. This will never change, regardless of her condition. It doesn’t matter if she can conceive or not.”

Ethan sneered, “So? Did you do all of this just to keep the Arnold Corporation? If so, you shouldn’thave let me be born. Wouldn’t it be better to let that illegitimate child inherit everything?
“I’ll say it again: Madelyn’s status won’t change. Whether or not she can bear children, she’ll always bemy wife. Evelyn responded, “Are you trying to infuriate me?!” She then coughed intensely.
Marta quickly advised, “Mr. Arnold, please don’t anger her any further. She has her reasons for sayingthat. The Arnold family has had a century-old legacy in Ventropolis. The family business has alwaysbeen passed down. The Arnold family needs an heir to inherit the company after your generation.
“You do know how important bloodline is to the Arnold family. Mr. Arnold Sr. used to love you the most.You wouldn’t want to see the Arnold family without an heir in the end.”
Evelyn sighed, ‘I know him well. He’s stubborn and doesn’t consider the consequences of his actions.Otherwise, he wouldn’t have gotten into that situation back then.”
She said, “Okay! Considering the past, Madelyn will be your wife. But! I want an heir with yourbloodline. No matter which woman you have a child with, as long as the child belongs to the Arnoldfamily, I will not stop you from being with Madelyn.
“After the child is born, Madelyn can raise the child. This is the only requirement I have for you. If youcan’t even do this, I’ll commit suicide.”
Ethan lifted his eyes, and a hint of harshness flashed upon them, “Do you have to threaten me likethis?”
