Zach asked, “What else?”
Kai arched an eyebrow, realizing that Zach was evidently uninformed. “Patients with depression oftenrequire medication to regulate their emotions, or else…”
Before he could finish his sentence, one of the nurses passing by suddenly screamed, “Doctor Stewart,that girl is trying to jump out of the window.”novelbin
Madelyn stood on a stool, already perched on the windowsill.
Zach rushed into the room almost immediately, watching as her body leaned forward without hesitation.They were on the fifteenth floor, and falling would be certain death.
Kai remained indifferent, observing it all unfold. He thought, ‘Madelyn… I can’t believe you gave in soeasily! Even with help from Ethan, you can’t escape Zach. What you’ve been through is nothing
compared to her.’
In the last second, Zach grabbed her hand.

Zach held onto her with all his strength, his arm straining. “You’re out of your mind! Hold on to me!”
Madelyn’s heart cried out. ‘Zach, do you know what I’m thinking at this moment? I just want to find reliefwithin the despair you’ve brought into my life.”
She reminisced, ‘Just like in our past life, when I saw you with Cecilia on our wedding anniversary onthat big screen, I was filled with despair.
