“What the hell are you doing here?!” She immediately propped herself up with her hands. After seeinghim, she resisted and did not want to do the checkup anymore. Kai smiled mischievously, “What’swrong, Madelyn? Afraid that I might see something?”
‘No shit, Sherlock!’ Madelyn thought before saying, “I don’t want to undergo the medical checkupanymore.”
Kai clenched his right hand to cover his mouth and laughed. He squinted, ” Don’t worry. I’m not the onewho’ll be doing the checkup on you. I swear I won’t peek!”
Suddenly, the voice of a woman in her forties spoke, “Don’t be scared, young lady. I’ll be the oneconducting your checkup! Dr. Stewart, stop scaring the young lady. You can leave now!”
Upon seeing it was a woman, Madelyn was relieved and lay back down. After Kai left, Madelyn spreadher legs, covered by a blue cloth. Her face turned red with embarrassment. As she felt something enterbetween her legs, she shifted uncomfortably.
As the ultrasound probe entered, the image of Madelyn’s hymen was visualized on the screen. Thegynecologist touched her forehead and said, “Look at me, I’ve been so swamped with patients todaythat I forgot that you’re still a young lady. Give me a moment and I’ll replace this probe for you.”

Kai had his hands inside the pockets of his white coat, with a stethoscope around his neck. He said,“I’ve told you, no matter how many times she gets a checkup, the results will still be the same. The two men tossed their cigarette butts and walked into the office. Madelyn fixed her shirt beforewalking out from behind the curtain.
The gynecologist looked at the ultrasound image and solemnly said, ” There’s no other solution exceptfor undergoing surgery, and alternative medicine can’t help. You guys should consider it as soon aspossible. Dr. Hart has a free slot for surgery next week.”
Zach asked, “After the uterus is removed, will it be possible to transplant a new one?”
Kai looked like he had heard the most absurd joke, “Are you insane? First of all, the current medicalsystem here in Venturia isn’t equipped for uterine transplant surgery. Secondly, even if she were to geta transplant, she wouldn’t be able to get pregnant.
