Chapter 728 Return

Ultimately, Luo Ziyan managed to escape with Chen Pingan’s help but as he predicted, it was too late

for him to escape; the King of Nine Doors and Gu Yuehong from the Gu family had instantly

surrounded him.

For the past few days, both of them had kept on searching because now that Chen Hao had become

their sworn enemy, it was no longer a question of pros and cons!

In the face of opposition from two powerful people, especially the King of Nine Doors, Chen Pingan did

not resist and simply let himself be captured by the Gu family.

“Where’s Luo Ziyan?” the King of Nine Doors asked after choosing a human form.

“Clearly, she escaped before you actually got here. You’ll never have her now!” A mocking smile

appeared on Chen Pingan’s face.

“And Chen Hao?” Gu Yuehong asked, her eyes becoming bloodshot with hatred.

“Oh, he’s long gone. Despite all that noise, you two have been going on a wild goose chase this whole

time with nothing to show for it in the end!” Chen Pingan mocked.

“Insolent bastard!” the King of Nine Doors roared. “You seem confident that everyone we’re after has

escaped, but you’re wrong! Catching you is more important for us than you think it is in comparison!”

He looked at Chen Pingan.

“Me?”novelbin

“Yes. Once I have you, I won’t have to worry about Chen Hao staying hidden. You’re his uncle, after

all,” the King of Nine Doors said.

“I’m afraid you two will be no match for him when he does come!” Chen Pingan’s smile did not waver,

but the King of Nine Doors seemed to have exhausted his patience with him and was about to go after

Luo Ziyan.

“Gu Yuehong, you’re in charge now. Get your family to take over the residence. That should lure Chen

Hao out!” the King of Nine Doors instructed.

“Yes, my lord!” Gu Yuehong answered, but he was already gone by the time she lifted her head.

“When Chen Hao shows up, he’ll have a hard time escaping again!” Gu Yuehong said coldly to Chen

Pingan. “Besides, the Thai City escapees have all been captured, so there’s no way he wouldn’t show

himself!”

“True, and I know he will come!” Chen Pingan answered, but he didn’t expect that this was why

Jiannan and the others haven’t returned in time. As it turned out, they were captured by the Gu family

and the King of Nine Doors.

He’d actually figured that they were in trouble several days ago, but he didn’t anticipate it to be

because these two had gone on the offensive like Miss Ziyan predicted. After a certain point, a lot of

people would be forced into the role of a bystander and in this case, the only person who could do

something about this was Chen Hao. We’re counting on you now, Chen Hao! Chen Pingan thought.

……

Five days later, on a small island, the sun shone brightly and huge waves crashed onto the shore as a

foraging seagull approached it, then landed on a branch.

After a while, the island itself seemed to tremble as a loud blast rocked the place. Then, the seagull’s

eyes reflected an earth-shattering sight—the island itself was splitting apart at an impossible speed,

producing a large canyon as the waves roared as if a tsunami was about to descend upon the island.

Meanwhile, the sky had somehow become crowded with storm clouds and as lightning flashed, the

seagull’s eyes became filled with terror. It shuddered before taking off from the branch and flying away

like its life depended on it; it must have seen something truly terrifying to have escaped in that manner.

With a deafening crack, a bolt of lightning struck the island. Then, a beam of light shot up from the

island’s center and in the middle of that beam sat a young man in the lotus position.

That young man, despite sitting on the abandoned island while being surrounded by howling winds and

roaring waves, didn’t have a speck of dust on him. Stranger still, his skin was perfectly pale and his

body exuded an intimidating aura.

Of course, any person who saw him right now would be afraid because his forehead was looking quite

strange—not only was it glowing, there seemed to be a third eye on it. That eye was the source of the

bright light that seemed to pierce the sky and illuminate everything as far as the eye could see. After a

while, the eye slowly snuffed out the light and the young man opened his own eyes.

“Who would have thought that the awakening of the first cycle would give me this much of a power

boost! This God’s Eye is out of this world! Unbelievable!” It was clear from the youth’s face that he was

usually calm and collected, but this well and truly blew his mind; this young man was none other than

Chen Hao.

He’d been processing his newfound power for 5 whole days and during that time, besides the drastic

increase in his cultivation base, he’d discovered some miraculous changes in his body 3 days ago; he

started feeling a dull ache in his forehead that became a throbbing pain, then it progressed into a head-

splitting pain. In the end, he’d actually grown a third eye that had granted him magical powers.

The first of the eye’s numerous powers was info storage. He’d tried using the Eye to scan his

surroundings, and realized he could remember everything he saw and even sense danger around him.

The second was a drastically larger field of vision, to the point that Chen Hao could look high into the

skies. The third power was something Chen Hao called the God’s Gift, a gift to all living beings that

could bring back the dead and turn trash into treasure. The fourth and final power was its devastating

attack that could be used for long-range and close-ranged attacks, making him practically invincible.

This attacking power could even form a mysterious formation.

So far, those were all the powers he’d developed. The fourth one especially made him wonder—if he

continued to cultivate himself, then what kind of terrifying strength could he achieve? Now that he’d

processed all the power he got from the first cycle, he would technically be able to hold his own against

the King of Nine Doors, and that was before he accounted for the Eye’s powers.

Chen Hao stood excitedly, then realized his Eye was flashing continuously and thought, Hmm? A

danger signal?

He quickly thought of the Chen family. Was Uncle Pingan and the others in trouble? he thought. Then,

he remembered that he’d been away for 5 days, so it was about time he went back. As such, he used

his powers to hide the Eye, then disappeared in a flash.
