Chapter 696 Gu Feng Gone Crazy
“What’s the matter?” asked Chen Hao.
“I was sealed by the King of Nine Doors in the secret room of the Gu Family. Although I was sealed, I
know everything that was happening around the Gu Family. I know two of your friends were taken by
the Gu Family. One of them has a surname Tie whereas the other is Bai. They were locked in an
underground secret room of the Gu Family.”
“No wonder. Chen Hao asked me to find out Tie Cheng’s whereabouts a few days ago, but I can’t
locate him no matter how hard I tried. So it turns out that he was taken by the Gu Family,” Chen Pingan
said while shaking his head.
The thing that Chen Hao worried the most happened still. That night, he almost fell into the trap set by
the Gu Family and almost got himself killed by General Black. On the other hand, the Gu Family must
have had two strings to their bow and they got Tie Cheng as well when he was waiting for him at the
hotel. Also, his friend, Bai Xiaofei, was undergoing training at the Gu Family. Judging from the Gu
Family’s method of doing things, Bai Xiaofei could not have possibly escaped from them too.
“Ziyan, Uncle, maybe you guys should leave first. I have to stay back. Now that Jiannan was saved, I
can’t let anything bad happen to my friends as well. I have to stay and rescue them!” Chen Hao said.
“Chen Hao, you alone? You are no match for King of Nine Doors!” Chen Pingan said worriedly.
Luo Ziyan also looked at Chen Hao with a concerned face.
“Of course I know I’m not a match for King of Nine Doors, so I won’t engage in a head-on fight with him.
I have an idea that will allow me to save them and escape from the Gu Family at the same time. So,
you guys don’t have to worry about me!” Chen Hao reassured with a smile.

explained.
“That’s exactly what I think! I’ll meet up with you guys as soon as possible. For safety purposes, I think
maybe everyone should stick together for the time being?” Chen Hao suggested.
Everyone nodded in agreement. Now, since the King of Nine Doors should be on his way here and
would probably reach any moment, without wasting any time, everyone began their journey
immediately. Chen Hao, on the other hand, grabbed the disabled Gu Feng and parted with everyone.
He took Gu Feng and went into the woods. Instantly, the shanty town became deserted and dark
without any lights on.
Swish! Swish! Swish! Not long after that, a large group of martial arts experts leaped across the woods
and arrived at the dark shanty town. The leader of the group was in the form of a dark shadow. Finally,
the whole group gathered around at the courtyard of the shanty town. The dark shadow turned into a
distinct human form. He glanced across at the empty courtyard with his cold eyes, then looked at the
conjuring altar located in the middle of the courtyard.
“Master, the whole shanty town is empty!” General Black walked over and reported.
“They left not long ago!” The person who talked was the King of Nine Doors. Suddenly, his eyes turned
crimson red like a demon lurking in the dark.
“I’ll order my men to search separately in different directions immediately!” General Black said.
“There’s no need to search in different directions. General Black, get your men to search in the
southern side of the woods. I think, within such a short period of time, all they can do is to enter the
woods and hide inside to evade my search.” An unusual light flashed through the King of Nine Doors’
eyes.
The group reassembled immediately and disappeared into the woods to pursue their victims.
King of Nine Doors took a deep breath and clenched his fists tightly. “I’ve waited over tens of thousands
of years for this day! Celestial War God, Luo Ziyan, you will not escape this time! I, King of Nine Doors,
will obtain the Essence of Nine Cycles and conquer all the three worlds!” King of Nine Doors clenched
his fists so tight that his nails turned pale; the huge, malevolent aura that was being emitted from him
could not be concealed.
The entire members of the Nine Doors went into the woods, searching high and low for Chen Hao and
his gang. To ensure that no places were overlooked, King of Nine Doors joined forces with the Gu
Family to search inside and outside of the city thoroughly. They wanted to make sure that Chen Hao
and his gang could not escape from them easily. However, unbeknown to the Nine Doors and the Gu
Family, Chen Hao and his gang had left Thai City immediately for the Northwest Desert long before
they initiated the search.
Soon, it was dawn. General Black led his team of four to five men, and was searching in the woods.
“General Black, there’s someone in front!” one of his men shouted.
The men moved rapidly forward and soon they appeared before the man. They saw that the man was
cladded in dirty torn clothes and his body was full of scars and injuries. The man was crawling with
difficulty on the ground.
“Eh? Young Master Gu?” General Black goggled at the man in surprise.
He heard that Young Master Gu led his men to search for Chen Hao in the woods a few days ago, but
he later lost contact with the Gu Family. Gu Yuehong knew something was wrong after a few days and
so she sent some men to search for Young Master Gu in the woods, but to no avail. As expected,
something bad happened to Young Master Gu.
“General Black, I’m so glad to see you! Please, save me! Quickly!” Gu Feng almost cried tears of joy
when he saw General Black.
“Young Master Gu, don’t worry. You have me around, so nothing will happen to you! Who did this to
you?” General Black asked.
“It’s Chen Hao. I found him in the shanty town a few days ago. Somehow, he managed to hire a skilled
martial arts expert and I was heavily beaten up by the guy. So, Chen Hao captured me, poisoned me
with Gu poison and tortured me in every possible means. Last night, I saw him conjure up the spirit of
the lady in white with necromancy. Then, he took me into the woods, though I’m not sure why he did
that. I just escaped when he was not looking!” Gu Feng explained.
“Indeed, the Master was right. Chen Hao really escaped into the woods. No wonder the Gu Family
failed to locate you when they were searching for you in the woods. It turns out that you were locked up
in the shanty town all along!”
General Black turned to order his men by saying, “You guys, give my order to the others to widen the
search around the woods! Chen Hao is still in the woods, so don’t ever let him escape!”
“Yes!”
“Young Master Gu, I’ll send my men to escort you back to the Gu Family!”
“Thanks!” Gu Feng nodded.

At the Gu Family, a servant was running to deliver a message.

As she expected, when she went outside, she saw Gu Feng laid down on a stretcher, looking heavily
tortured with all the gruesome injuries on his body. Gu Yuehong was deeply saddened by his awful
condition.
Gu Yuxiao followed Gu Yuehong outside too when she heard the commotion.
“Feng, how did you become like this? Who did this to you?” Gu Yuehong asked heartbrokenly.
“We found Young Master Feng in the woods. He was heavily injured by Chen Hao and his men. And
Chen Hao poisoned him with a special kind of Gu poison. He almost died when we saved him. Chen
Hao had escaped into the woods now!”
“What? Chen Hao!” Gu Yuehong’s eyes turned red, burning in rage and hatred. But soon, she moved
to Gu Feng’s side and looked at him tenderly.
“Feng, can you still hear me? Don’t worry, I’ll get Chen Hao and skin him alive!” Gu Yuehong said while
touching Gu Feng’s face.
As soon as she touched Gu Feng, the latter suddenly opened his eyes, raised his leg and landed a
heavy kick on Gu Yuehong’s stomach. Since Gu Yuehong was hit off guard, she did not manage to
block the attack by shielding herself with Qi in time. As a result, the kick sent her flying across the air
and hit the ground heavily, landing in a crash.
“Ah! Grandmother!” Gu Yuxiao was shocked.
