Chapter 688 The Ridiculous Fool
Shuisheng rushed into the house.
As soon as he opened the door, a gun was aimed at his head.
A group of bodyguards in suits were holding Shuixia and Shuisheng’s grandfather hostage and they
walked forward.
A middle aged man who led the group shouted coldly, “Don’t move! All of you stay put! I will shoot
anyone who moves!”
At the same time, a dozen armed bodyguards rushed out from the woodshed nearby.
The cold gunpoints were aimed at everybody, especially Chen Hao.
“Miss, Chen Hao is really here just as you predicted! We just made a huge contribution this time!” the
middle-aged man exclaimed in joy.
At this moment, a woman slowly came out of the house.
By her side was a handsome young man; they walked side by side with an evil smile on their faces.
“Duan Fei, you are amazing! You figured out who killed the bodyguards of the Ximen family with just
one glance at their bodies. We set up an ambush here and we actually managed to run into Chu Hao!
Hahaha! I’ll report this to the Gu Family immediately! We’ve just made a great accomplishment!”
The man and woman were no ordinary bystanders; the man was the leader of the same martial arts
group as Bai Xiaofei, Duan Fei, who was defeated by Chen Hao in front of everyone back at the
banquet, while the woman was Ximen Yu from the Ximen family.
It looked like that they both never gave up searching for Chen Hao.
Something had happened to the bodyguards. Usually, the two of them would not personally check on
the incident but the subordinate who found the bodies reported that the bodyguards died in a tragic
manner; it looked like it was done by a master of the martial arts.
That was why Duan Fei, who was rehabilitating in the house of the Ximen Family, went to investigate
together with Ximen Yu.
When he saw the scene, Duan Fei immediately knew that other than the Gu Family, almost no one elsenovelbin
would have the strength to do so in the whole of Thai City.
The only other person that could possibly do this was Chen Hao.
He wasn’t very sure, but after much investigation, he found his way to Shuisheng’s home, which led
them to this scene in front of them.
Unexpectedly, his guesses were correct—Chen Hao was actually here and it was him who killed the
bodyguards of the Ximen family.
“If you ask me, it was because of you, Ximen Yu. You quickly reacted and immediately set up an
ambush. Otherwise, how could we seize Chen Hao so easily?” Duan Fei shook his head and smiled
bitterly as he coldly looked at Chen, the man who ruined his reputation. “You didn’t expect this, did
you? Someone with martial arts skills as good as you do had actually fallen into our trap! What’s more,
I know how good you are, so we prepared dozens of people to point their guns at you. I warn you, it's
best if you stay put. Otherwise, in a few seconds you will be turned into pulp!”
Turning to Ximen Yu, Duan Fei continued, “Ximen Yu, let's not report to the Gu family yet. The Gu
family is very anxious to find Chen Hao. It is obvious that Chen Hao is important to them. If Chen Hao
was taken by subordinates of the Gu Family, we will receive nothing. The best option is to meet the
master of the Gu Family face to face! Only then will we have the chance to negotiate with them. By
then, we can ask for the secret skills of the Gu Family and with that, I believe my skills will improve by
leaps and bounds! When that time comes, nobody in the whole martial arts group will be a match for
me, Duan Fei!” A look of strong longing flashed across his eyes.
“You are right Duan Fei! The Ximen family could ask for some assets. By then, we might even become
the strongest and wealthiest family! It’s like killing two birds with one stone! Duan Fei, you are amazing!
I admire you so much!” Ximen Yu was laughing happily.
“Excuse me, have you two finished yapping? After all those stuff you two had said, you still have yet to
report my capture to the Gu Family. Are you two so sure that you want to deploy these dozens of toys
to deal with me?” Chen Hao swept a cold gaze across the men that were aiming their guns at him.
It was like these bodyguards dressed in black who stood in front of him were not adults but children
aiming their water guns at Chen Hao, which made him feel like laughing.
“Hmph! Chen Hao, you are still talking big even when you are about to die. Back then, I lost to you
because I was careless. It was the biggest disgrace of my life! From that day on, I swore that sooner or
later, I will kill you! And now at last, you are finally in my possession!” Duan Fei let out a cough; it was
obvious that the injury he suffered from Chen Hao had not completely recovered.
“Besides that, Chen Hao, it is time for the feud between us to come to an end. This time, I will not let
you get away!” Ximen Yu roared in laughter.
Chen Hao shook his head and sighed.
Duan Fei’s eyes narrowed as he said, “What do you mean by shaking your head? Oh, now I
understand. I am only a person who was defeated by you and you look down at my methods of
revenge. However, let me tell you this—other than being born with talent in martial arts, I, Duan Fei, am
a genius. At the age of six, my intelligence has surged and since then, my intelligence surpasses
ordinary people. So to summarize, you were defeated by my wits and I have a hundred ways to kill
you!”
“Oh? Your intelligence surged at the age of six? You? Intelligent? I really couldn’t tell!” Chen Hao burst
into laughter.
Duan Fei was furious. Just as he was about to order someone to give Chen Hao a few slaps on the
face to teach him a lesson, Chen Hao continued, “Forget it. If you release my friend and his family, I
shall give you a chance to live. After all, it's not like we have some huge feud and hatred between each
other. I have sworn that if anybody dared to hurt my friend, I will kill them. You’ll have to die sooner or
later, but since you have yet to do anything too severe, I can still spare your lives! Just like what you
said, you have talent. If you continue practicing hard, your future in martial arts will be bright. As for
Ximen Yu, even though you are stubborn and annoying, I believe it would be great for you to find a
husband and live your life peacefully. There is no need for you to die here, let alone die for the sake of
the Gu Family!” Chen Hao then sighed.
“Hahahaha!”
“Is this man crazy?”
“Yes, I think so. Now that we have more than a dozen of our guns aimed at his head, if he dared to
move even his brows, we’d crush him in an instant! But he’s saying that he would consider letting us
go? Hahaha!”
Many of the bodyguards were laughing their heads off; it was as if they were looking at an idiot.
“Chen Hao, oh, Chen Hao. I thought you were smart. However, apart from your amazing martial art
skills, it seems like you’re a real fool. Take a good look at the situation—your friends are in my hands
and you have gunpoints aimed at your head. Are you really that stupid?”
Duan Fei roared with laughter.
“Oh right, what did you just say? You will kill anybody who dares to hurt your friends?”
As he said that, Duan Fei pulled out a dagger from his arms and cut Shuixia on the face with a slash.
“Ah!” Shuixia shouted; there was a cut on her cheek.
“Hahaha, does this count as hurting your friend? You can’t even do anything to retaliate! Or should I go
even further?” Duan Fei shook his head and laughed. “So are you still going to kill me now?”
Chen Hao sighed, then said, “I have already given both of you a chance. Why are you both so
determined to die? I was not so sure at first, but now it seems like the both of you really think that these
few guns can hurt me! Idiots!”
With that, Chen Hao raised his hand and with a wave, the guns in the hands of the twenty-or-so
bodyguards seemed to be controlled by an invisible force. Then, the guns were being lifted in to the air
and dropped onto the floor in a formation of the word ‘four’, which sounded like ‘die’ in Chinese.
All of this happened in an instant!
“What?!”
Everybody was in shock!
The smile on Duan Fei’s face suddenly froze…
