Chapter 653 Xi Menyu’s Request
“Hey, Xiaofei! Over here!”
After a while, Chen Hao, Bai Xiaofei, and Tie Cheng came downstairs.
The girls had also caught sight of the three of them.
Hurriedly, they waved and greeted Bai Xiaofei.
The leader amongst these girls was named Wang Lijie. She and Bai Xiaofei had both graduated from
Jiang Nan College.
After graduating, she went back to her hometown, Thai City, to work.
However, she had stayed in contact with Bai Xiaofei.
All of those girls were extremely attractive, but one could still roughly rank them.
Wang Lijie could be ranked at number two.
That was because, among those girls, there was a long-haired girl with an even nicer figure. Tall with
jade-white skin, some light makeup adorned her features.
When she smiled, it seemed to make everything around her freeze in place.
Some of the men at one side waiting for the bus had taken out their phones with malintent, and the girl
they took the most pictures of was that tall, beautiful girl.
Her name was Zhang Xuefei, and she was Wang Lifei’s childhood friend and current bestie.
Today, all of them had come out to have fun together, and they were prepared to follow Bai Xiaofei’s
lead and join the celebration today.
If it wasn’t for Bai Xiaofei meeting Chen Hao halfway and wanting to talk about the old days with him,
the others would have reached the celebration by now.
“These are the two handsome guys you were talking about?”
Wang Lijie had always been a rather straightforward person. When she watched Bai Xiaofei walk over
with the two ‘handsome men’ the girls had been so expectant about, a flicker of disappointment flashed
across her pretty features.
One of them had a stony expression, and he seemed very aloof and even slightly intimidating.
This was far from what she had imagined a ‘handsome man’ to be.
As for the other man, he looked pretty normal, though he did have a rather attractive appearance.
However, he didn’t have the same wild and handsome vibes of an outgoing young master like Bai
Xiaofei. Instead, he radiated a sort of elegance.
This was also pretty different from her expectations.
Obviously, this sort of man was more suitable as a husband and not a boyfriend.
How boring! Some of the girls thought at the same time.
“Alright, what are you all looking at?” Bai Xiaofei didn’t think about it much, since he was already very
happy at the rare prospect of getting to hang out with Chen Hao again.
All of them chatted on the way.
Thus, they reached the location of the celebration.
Chen Hao had noticed how most of the girls focused their attention on Bai Xiaofei.
None of them spared a second glance for himself or Tie Cheng.
What, exactly, was the reason?
It was Tie Cheng’s appearance that had scared them away.
As for himself, he was too honest.
However, Bai Xiaofei had always had that reckless, wild personality.
This naturally brought attention to him.
However, it didn’t matter that the girls weren’t paying attention to the two of them. Chen Hao had come
out to have fun with his close friends before heading to the Ancient City tomorrow.
He wasn’t here to find a girlfriend!
The celebration was held at the largest hotel in Thai City.
Under the influence of the Gu family of Ancient City, the people of Thai City all enjoyed martial arts and
liked watching fights and boxing matches.
Once they walked into the hall in which the celebration was held, they could see the elaborate boxing
ring where a boxing match was currently being held.
The design of the seats in the hall was also rather interesting.
The ones sitting at the front row were, naturally, the most important guests. Those people happened to
be the ones who were in the same group as Bai Xiaofei.
However, Chen Hao could tell that Bai Xiaofei didn’t really mix with them.
It was as if Bai Xiaofei wasn’t willing to associate himself with them.
Just as well, Chen Hao didn’t want to go over and start a conversation with them.
In all honesty, this group of people had come here with a strong sense of superiority. They all felt as
though they were champions, not sparing any outsiders a second glance.
Chen Hao was in no mood to bother with them.
That was why the few of them sat at the furthest table possible.
However, Chen Hao didn’t notice that his arrival had caught the attention of a waitress at the scene.
Sneakily, she stole a couple of glances at Chen Hao.
After she had become sure of who she had seen, she put down her plate and said something into a
walkie-talkie.
At the same time, in the hall.
An elegantly dressed lady appeared and caught the eyes of many.
She was smiling brightly and walked directly to the table at the front which seated the Trial Team.
“Duan Fei, you’re here!”
She smiled as she called toward a man with peering eyes.
When she saw the man whose name was Duan Fei, she started to blush of her own accord.
“Ximen Yu, it’s been awhile!”
Lifting his head, Duan Fei’s frigid face squeezed out a slight smile.
“Miss Ximen Yu, you had agreed to accompany us and Duan Fei! However, you disappeared once we
got off the elevator. You really made Duan Fei wait for quite awhile!” a big man next to Duan Fei said.
“Don’t mention that. This afternoon, something happened and it really pissed me off! Besides that, I got
injured, and when I was done with treating my wounds and went back to take my revenge on those two
fellows, they had already disappeared! If it wasn’t for my father making me take this celebration
seriously, I would have searched every corner of the world to find them and make them pay!” Ximen Yu
said hatefully.
“Oh? Someone managed to anger our Miss Ximen Yu? Tell us about it, let Duan Fei help you get
revenge!” the big man next to Duan Fei said with a laugh.
“Sigh, if only I had managed to find them! However, I already got images of them from the surveillance
cameras. I just know they won’t be able to run far and I will definitely be able to track them down!”
Ximen Yu said darkly.
Then, she looked toward Duan Fei and said, “Right, Duan Fei, the Ximen family and the Duan family
are close friends. This celebration has brought many friends of different professions from different
industries, especially the Martial Arts Association, of which we have quite a few present. My dad
wanted you to show some moves onstage as a grand finale for today’s celebration. That was what I
wanted to ask you about this afternoon! Right now, you’re the number one member of the Gu family’s
training squad. With your presence, the Ximen family will be even more respected in Thai City!”
“Ximen Yu, you know I never show my true abilities like that. Do you want me to behave like those
pieces of trash onstage and duel with others?” Duan Fei squinted and shook his head mockingly.
Clearly, he wasn't taking those competitors seriously.
He saw them all as pieces of trash.
“That’s right, Ximen Yu, when have you ever seen Duan Fei show off his true talents onstage? From
what I remember, the only time he had ever competed onstage was when he was twelve years old. He
duelled with a Level 8 Master, and in the end, Duan Fei dug out that master’s eyes and broke all four ofnovelbin
his limbs. He became a disabled patient for the rest of his life, haha!” one of the people in the training
team proclaimed.
Some of the girls in the training team looked at Duan Fei with admiration in their eyes. Indeed, his
abilities were way too strong.
“Duan Fei, just treat it as doing me a favor, please?” Ximen Yu’s eyes suddenly started filling up with
tears.
Before Duan Fei could even reply, hurried footsteps came running toward them.
There were a few bodyguards running over to Ximen Yu.
“Miss, we found them!” the bodyguards said excitedly.
Naturally, Ximen Yu knew exactly what these bodyguards had found.
“Hm? Where are they? Could they have already left Thai City?” Ximen Yu said in anger.
“No, they’re both here right now! We’ve already confirmed it. How bold of them to have the audacity to
come join this celebration?” one of the bodyguards said.
“What?” Ximen Yu said in surprise.
Even more tears started appearing in her eyes.
“Alright. Since you don't care about whether I live or die and aren't willing to help me at all, I will still
fight them to the death despite their incredible abilities!” Ximen Yu choked out.
Hearing this, Duan Fei couldn’t help but smile in resignation. With a shake of his head, he responded,
“You always do this, pulling out this same trick from up your sleeves. Alright then, since someone
offended you, Ximen Yu, and those people are here right now, so be it. You called them skilled
professionals, right? I’ll get rid of them for you right on that stage. Does that settle everything that
you’ve asked of me?”
“Hahaha, Duan Fei, you're the best!” Ximen Yu cheered.
