Chapter 589 Mutation

“What’s that?” Tie Cheng asked curiously.

Chen Hao took a cubic shaped wooden box out of his pockets carefully.

The wooden box was given by Yang Wei. Eight hundred years ago, another old beggar handed it to

Yang Wei’s ancestors.

The beggar predicted that Chen Hao would look for the Sea Palace and asked his people to wait until

Chen Hao appeared.

Could it be possible that the old beggar predicted the events that would happen after ten thousand

years—that I would come to this place and bring the Longevity Coffin and the lady in white away, so

she could reunite with another me?

Or, could it be possible that the old beggar from ten thousand years ago and the one from eight

hundred years ago are actually the same person?

Chen Hao shuddered as he was afraid to think about it; if he started thinking deep into it, he would

have goosebumps.

But Chen Hao actually understood one thing. According to him, as long as I could make the lady in

white reunite with another me, then I could get the answer that I want. Does this mean that the mystery

of the League of the Sun would be solved too?

“What more did he say? Tie Cheng, try your best to understand most of the writings!” Chen Hao said

after thinking for a while.

“He also said here that something bad will happen to this world, something that many people will lose

their lives because of this… and it can’t be stopped! The prophecies on himself will also come true one

after another—this is his fate! As for the rest, Mr. Chen, I’m sorry, I-I really can’t understand anymore,”

Tie Cheng sighed.novelbin

Many people will die? Prophecy?

Could something bad will be happening?

No matter how he looked, Chen Hao felt that the writings on the wall were all about him.

Although he couldn’t understand it now, it didn’t mean that he couldn’t understand it in the future.

Chen Hao forcefully took notes on the writings on the wall and then brought Tie Cheng to the drawings.

The last drawing on the wall described that if one could obtain the key to the door, he could find the

way out.

And the mentioned key was shown in the drawing as well—it was really the sign of the Golden Fish Tail

in the wooden box.

After taking down notes about everything there, Chen Hao then walked toward the Longevity Coffin

with Tie Cheng behind him.

He had always heard Shen Lan describing how elegant the lady in white in her dreams, but Chen Hao

had never once seen her.

Now that he was here, he wanted to take a good look at how this beautiful lady—who came from the

heavens—looked like.

When the coffin cover was half opened, a breeze of cold air greeted them.

After the cold air subsided, the lady in the coffin appeared in front of them.

“The Goddess!” Tie Cheng was surprised and delighted. Excitement could be seen all over his face.

It seemed like Chen Hao had guessed correctly—the woman who saved Tie Cheng was this lady in

white. But how did she become alive?

It was undeniable that a beautiful dead lady was lying in the coffin, wearing plain white clothes which

didn’t have a flick of dust on them.

Chen Hao admitted to himself that it was true that she might be the most beautiful woman in the world.

Even though she looked very peaceful right now, her goddess abilities could not be obscured.

It was as if her goddess abilities would heal any of her flaws automatically, if she even had any.

Chen Hao froze when he saw her.

She’s really gorgeous! he thought.

“It’s such a pity. No matter how beautiful you look, you belong to the person who looks exactly like me.

As for me, I only want my Tongxin and Uncle Yuxing back, so that our family can reunite. Of course, I

can help you reunite with him first. If I successfully did that, I hope you can help me out too. Even if you

only give me the slightest hint, that’ll be fine too—as long as I can find them!” Chen Hao told the lady in

white who was laying in the coffin.

After that, Chen Hao retracted his glance and closed the lid of the coffin.

Chen Hao tugged Tie Cheng as both of them jumped down together from mid-air. He then walked

around the area.

Finally, he saw a trough in the middle of the platform.

Its shape corresponded perfectly to the Golden Fish Tail in his hand.

Seems like we can find the exit of this palace after I put the Golden Fish Tail in it, Chen Hao thought.

When he was about to place it, Tie Cheng suddenly let out a shrill scream.

“Mr. Chen, look! There’s another coffin there!” Tie Cheng pointed to a corner which was glowing in the

dark.

After checking it out, it was true that a black coffin which was binded by thick chains was lying quietly in

the corner.

The thick chains looked as if they were trying to stop a creature from escaping from the coffin.

It was quite unnerving.

No wonder Tie Cheng was shocked.

“This is odd. Why didn’t the drawings show the origin and history of this coffin?” Chen Hao wondered.

There were a few points which were rather questionable as well. For example, the small coffin that fell

from the boat was not found here. The huge dragon which was said to be buried together here was not

here as well. Those two items couldn’t be seen here.

“Let’s not care about those for now. Stand further away, Tie Cheng. When the exit opens later, a large

amount of sea water will enter this space. I have to take care of the Longevity Coffin, so you make sure

you stay right behind me,” Chen Hao instructed.

Tie Cheng nodded heavily.

For now, Chen Hao only had one goal—the lady in white. He didn’t have any more energy left to look

for other things.

He then put the Golden Fish Tail on top of the trough. A golden light flashed immediately.

Roar!

Right after that, the entire palace started shaking violently. The vibrations were like the ground sinking

and the skies splitting apart.

The crystal coffin was gradually descending and supported by Chen Hao single-handedly.

Bam!

However, the expected door did not open.

The Longevity Coffin, however, started vibrating.

Not just that, but the chained coffin in the dark corner also started shaking.

Then, a peculiar scene happened—the metal chains around the coffin broke and the crystal coffin

seemed as though it wanted to fly outside.

Spirit Flowers had also started growing at a visible speed on all parts of the wall.

“T-These—” Tie Cheng was scared stiff. “These flowers again!”

The Spirit Flowers completely bloomed and filled the walls in a short time with their pollen spreading in

copious amounts.

At the same time, a strong dizziness overpowered them once more.

Bam!

The walls of the palace broke, followed by the sea water gushing into the room rapidly.

Chen Hao was in such pain that his entire body trembled, but he still held onto the Longevity Coffin

tightly.

Bam!

The stone pillar collapsed and scattered on the ground.

Chen Hao’s knees gave in as he kneeled.

“Mr. Chen!”

Tie Cheng was hit by a huge pillar, but he still tried to crawl toward Chen Hao—who was powerless

after being stimulated by the Spirit Flowers—to support him.

Gush!

Until all the sea water broke through the entire Sea Palace, Chen Hao could not withstand the impact

that the Spirit Flowers gave him anymore. His vision turned black as he was about to faint.

Right before he fainted, he clearly saw that the chains of the pitch-black coffin in the corner were

completely broken, and its lid flew aside.

A thick, black light shone through the coffin.

On the other hand, the Chen Family crew on the boats.

It was already midnight. Suddenly, lightning flashed, thunder roared, and the waves were turbulent.

Even their big boats were unstable on the sea.

The strong wind wailed, as if it wanted to destroy all the boats on the sea.

Then, a tsunami occurred.

“What should we do now? Young Master Chen is still in the sea! This tsunami is more like a vigorous

undercurrent in the sea. Are we able to detect what is happening below us?” the bodyguards of the

Chen Family said frantically.

“There are no signals on every boat here, as our radar signal is interfered!” someone yelled.

Just then, a streak of black light suddenly emerged from the sea and shot straight up to the sky.

“What’s that?”

Like a meteor, the black light shot across the sky and headed toward a certain direction.

All the bodyguards of the Chen Family witnessed this peculiar scene as they stood on the deck.

“Did we see anything wrongly?” someone asked in surprise.

“How is it possible?”

“Alright, we’re receiving some signals now. And we’re reconnected to Young Master Chen!” the

bodyguards said excitedly.

The sea wind, however, was getting stronger.

Chen Hao’s brain became blank due to the strong stimulation.

He could not control his body. However, he only had one remaining thought—to hold the Longevity

Coffin tightly in his hands.

He had no idea how long he had been unconscious. When Chen Hao woke up again, he found himself

lying in a room.

“I-I’m not dead?” he muttered to himself.

“Hao, you are finally up!” Fang Jiannan was sitting by Chen Hao’s side all this while. When she saw

him wake up, she was so excited that she almost burst into tears.

Shortly after, Old Master Fang, Zuo Zhongtao, and a few other main bodyguards rushed into the room.

“Young Master Chen, you’re finally awake!” they exclaimed excitedly.

Chen Hao twisted his neck and asked, “How long have I been out?”

“Young Master Chen, you were unconscious for a month and a half!” a few bodyguards said worriedly.

“What? A month and a half?” Chen Hao widened his eyes.

“By the way, where’s my Longevity Coffin?” Chen Hao asked in shock.

The bodyguard then said hastily, “Young Master Chen, about the Longevity Coffin, you did bring it back,

but… Anyway, please go over quickly to have a look yourself!”
