Chapter 383 The Search
“Shaoyun, it really has been a long time. I was delighted to hear that you were going to pay me a visit!”
Situ Yang said with a smile at the sight of Long Shaoyun. “Oh right, are Uncle Long and the rest of your
family in good health? Before this, my father has been pestering me to pay a visit to Uncle Long in Yan
Jing.”
“Thanks for your concern, Brother Yang. They are doing fine!” said Long Shaoyun.
Situ Yang invited Long Shaoyun to sit down before continuing, “How about you? From what I’ve heard,
you have been reproached by Uncle Long not long ago? I heard that you’ve been locked up in your
own house for half a month now.”
“Hehe, let’s not bring that up, otherwise I might get angry again. By the way, Brother Yang, I think we
should talk about your matter. I’ve brought the assassins here and you’ve already seen them. They

Last night, Chen Hao assigned Wang Xiaohua to gather four to five trustworthy guys from their class.

Hence, he had arranged for another classmate to lead the tour while he and the four to five guys would
follow Chen Hao.
As for Fang Jiannan and Fang Yi, it was obvious they had also reached a consensus beforehand.
Just as before, they acted very cold and indifferent to Chen Hao and didn’t talk to him at all.
Xu Yangyang was here too, though there was a drastic change in her attitude compared to before.
First of all, she didn’t glue herself to Liang Fei anymore like how she used to. Instead, she would peek
at Chen Hao from time to time with a blushed face.
It was unknown exactly what was mentioned in Chen Hao, Hu Huimin and Xu Yangyang’s previous
conversation that had triggered the change.
However, it was obvious that Chen Hao did not pay any attention to her.
After greeting Wang Xiaohua, the four to five guys bid farewell to the rest of the classmates and were
ready to make their way to a place called Clearwater Village.
“Stop right there, Wang Xiaohua and Chen Hao. Where are you guys going? Why aren’t you joining
us?”
As soon as Chen Hao was ready to drive away, a girl rushed toward them.
Her face was filled with puzzlement.
“Lin Shengnan, aren’t you being too nosy? Do we even need to tell you beforehand wherever we’re
going?” asked Wang Xiaohua.
“Hmph, I noticed that you guys have been acting sneakily on the journey here. As it turns out, you guys
are really going somewhere else on your own. Are you going to ditch us and go somewhere even more
interesting?” Lin Shengnan demanded angrily.
At the same time, she casted a furtive glance at Chen Hao.
She wanted to check whether Chen Hao was looking at her.
As it turned out, Chen Hao was leaning against a luxurious Mercedes Benz with both of his hands
tucked into the pockets of his trousers and he was looking at somewhere else.

whenever Chen Hao ignored her.
She felt as though her life was somewhat impaired or was lacking something.
The same thing happened to her early in the morning when all the classmates had arrived.

She was the only one he missed out.
Therefore, Lin Shengnan made a dash toward them as she felt the urge to ask Wang Xiaohua what
they were up to.
When actually, she did all of that in an attempt to draw Chen Hao’s attention.
Obviously, she made a mistake.
“What’re you talking about? We have some serious matters to attend to. Please run along and have fun
yourself!”
Wang Xiaohua was a changed man too. Back then, he would be submissive and terrified whenever Lin
Shengnan was around.
Yet, he appeared very confident now.
He was talking with a cigarette in his mouth.
“Exactly, just go on with the tour and stop asking questions!”
The rest of the guys chimed in.
“W-Why are you guys being so rude! Chen Hao, don’t you think that you have to talk some sense into
them? Just look at the way they are talking to me now!”
Lin Shengnan shot a furious look at Chen Hao, who was standing beside them.
Only then did Chen Hao turn his head to face them and said, “Enough, Fatty. Stop talking already. Let’s
go!”
“Very well, Brother Chen!”
Wang Xiaohua immediately nodded his head.
Then, the guys got into the car.
Wang Xiaohua had not gotten his driving license yet.

Seeing that Chen Hao was still ignoring her, she made her way to the other side of the car, pulled the
door open and took the front seat.

Didn’t she love to mingle with Liang Fei and his friends? Why has she become so attentive toward me?
In fact, all of this no longer bothered him.
Ever since the Taekwondo Tournament, the class had been split into two groups.
One of the groups was made up of Liang Fei and some of his old friends; the other was made up of a
group of classmates with Chen Hao and Wang Xiaohua as the leaders.
As for Lin Shengnan, she obviously belonged in Liang Fei’s group.
However, she was sitting in Chen Hao’s car now.
“Aren’t you being too shameless, Lin Shengnan? Why did you even get in the car?”

Wang Xiaohua and the rest bombarded her with criticisms.
Their words triggered an immediate eruption of emotion within her. This was due to the intense
humiliation she had been suppressing ever since she decided to please Chen Hao in an attempt to get
close to him.
Her eyes reddened and tears started to stream down her face.
“Why are you guys criticizing me so badly? I’m allowed to have fun anywhere. Why can’t you guys just
bring me along? What’s wrong with that?”
Thereafter, she turned to look at Chen Hao and said, “Also, Chen Hao, why are you ignoring me? You
didn’t even look at me when I greeted you. When we bumped into each other in the canteen, you didn’t
even bother to acknowledge me. I know I wasn't the nicest to you when you first came to the school.
However, I have already offered my apology to you, and you’ve already forgiven me too!”
“Ah? Did I?”
Chen Hao was in a daze.
“Yes. It happened several times over these few days. You never greeted me nor did you pay any
regards to me!” said Lin Shengnan.
Feeling awkward, Chen Hao scratched his head and said, “Perhaps I’ve already forgotten about this. ”
Over these few days, Chen Hao’s mind was occupied by several issues. So, he simply didn’t have time
to bother about this.
Lin Shengnan didn’t like the bitter taste of defeat.
Playing hard to get was the best way to deal with girls as such. The more indifferent a guy was, the
more she would want him to be close to her.
