Chapter 2534

Chapter 2534 Agreement

In order not to alarm the others, Jared kept his thoughts to himself.

“Can I join you? If I can't, I hope that you will keep my identity a secret still.”

Hefe gave Jared a look of anticipation because it was obvious to him that Jared was the leader amongthe four.

“All right, I'll let you join us. In the event of danger, I hope that we'll be able to help each other out,”Jared said to Hefe.

Jared's agreement made Hefe smile. His eyes began to fill with determination and trust for the group.

Everyone else seemed oblivious to the newly formed alliance as they continued deeper into themountains.

As the aura exuded by demon beasts grew in intensity, everyone drew their weapons and gave theirsurroundings a vigilant look.

Some of those who were lacking in courage already had cold sweat breaking out on their foreheads.

Nonetheless, Francois and Brutus remained unfazed despite venturing deeper into the mountains.

From their relaxed expressions, Jared could tell how formidable both of them were.

“Awoo!”

All of a sudden, the cry of a demon beast caused everyone to stop in their tracks. A Demon Wolf with abody that looked like a yak threw itself at them.

It was obvious from its appearance that the Demon Wolf was menacingly strong. Otherwise, it wouldn'thave dared to attack the group all by itself.novelbin

Seeing that, Ali and the rest brandished their weapons anxiously.

However, just as the Demon Wolf reached them, Francois fired a flash of white light with a wave of hisright hand.

The Demon Wolf howled in agony before rolling on the ground and breathing its last.

The sight of Francois killing a Demon Wolf with a single wave of his hand shocked everyone.

When Jared looked in the direction of the Demon Wolf's corpse, he noticed a shining dart stuck on theDemon Wolf's head.

The ability to kill such a massive Demon Wolf with a single dart told Jared that Francois was at least aspowerful as a Spirit Divider.

“All right, there's nothing more to see. Let's continue walking,” Brutus shouted.

The group followed behind Francois and Brutus, but many of them couldn't help turning around to lookat the Demon Wolf's corpse which was worth a lot of money. Unfortunately, none of them had themeans of bringing it along with them.

“Jared, such a huge Demon Wolf corpse can be sold for a high price. Why don't you put it in yourStorage Ring?” Percy suggested.

He felt that leaving the corpse behind was a huge waste.

Shaking his head, Jared whispered, “Percy, keep the Storage Ring a secret. Otherwise, we mightattract unwanted attention. Just think about it. If the others were to learn about my Storage Ring,

wouldn't they covet it for its value?”

Due to his young age, Percy was still naive to the ways of the world.

“Percy, Jared is right. One shouldn't reveal one's strength or trump card easily. If the others learned ofJared's Storage Ring, they might very well attack our group. On top of that, Brutus and Francois mightwant it too and attack us for it. Do you think the few of us stand a chance against them?”

Ali used the opportunity to teach Percy some life lessons.

Upon listening to Ali's words, Percy nodded. “I understand.”

Right after the group was gone, a man that was covered in fur sauntered up to the corpse of theDemon Wolf that had just been killed.

He kneeled down beside it and pulled the dart out of its head.

“Awoo!”

Hundreds of Demon Wolves gathered around him from every direction.

He then led the huge pack in pursuit of Jared and his companions.
