Chapter 2365

At one glance, Jared could tell the elderly man was just a spirit rather than a human in the flesh. “It’sbeen a while, young man.”

While the elderly man chuckled at Jared, the latter’s eyes went wide with bafflement as he stared at theformer. The elderly man’s voice was the same as the skull’s. “Y-You…”novelbin

Jared merely pointed at the elderly man, not knowing what to say. “Hahaha! The crystal skull’s mine.I’m the one who brought you here.” The elderly man burst out laughing..

“Why did you do that? Your spirit’s clearly here. Why did you lie to me saying you’ll need to use thisplace to attract the spirit so you could be reborn in Ethereal Realm? Jared questioned furiously. Jaredrisked his life to bring the elderly man’s skull there, but it turned out to be a lie.

“I never lied to you. My spirit might be here, but I can’t leave. I’m the demon of negative energy that’strapped here. I can only return to Ethereal Realm only if you break the restraining force. here,” admittedthe old man. He was indeed Hadad.

“So after all that I’ve done, you’re saying you wanted me to free you? Why should I do that? What’s in itfor me?” Jared huffed.

“Of course, there are benefits. And to answer your first question, it’s because you’re the only personwho can get me out of this place. You’ve saved both Whalreth and Baal, so you should save me too,”said Hadad.

“Whalreth?” Jared froze. He knew the blood demon recovered because of the spiritual energy, and itsbody went straight to Ethereal Realm. However, he did not recall saving a demon called Whalreth.

“It’s that old man who taught you Sacred Light Fist. He was restrained by Pentacarna Tower, and youwere the one who let him out,” explained Hadad..

That was when Jared remembered the elderly. man who taught him Sacred Light Fist in thePentacarna Tower. At that time, the latter was just a soul remnant.

“Is that old man a demon, too?” asked Jared with surprise written all over his face. The elderly manJared saw back then was dressed in a white robe and looked very kind. Nothing about the formerresembled a demon.

Hadad scoffed with utter distaste, “Hpmh. He doesn’t deserve to be called a demon when he wasrestrained by a mere Pentacarna Tower for hundreds of years. He’s a disgrace to us, demon spirits.” Itwas clear that he had no respect for Whalreth.

“But you’re trapped here as well.” Jared was amused by Hadad’s comments. The latter was restrainedhere, yet he was mocking someone else.

“It’s different. This is the valley of the abyss. It’s not something a mere Pentacarna Tower can compareto. Besides, this place can only restrain one of my soul remnants. If my actual body was here, Iwould’ve torn down this place and gone straight to the underworld,” Hadad announced proudly. “Getlost. Quit boasting already.”

With a wave of the hand, the zombie sent Hadad’s spirit flying into the distance. Seeing that, Jaredasked Hadad, “How can I save you, and what will I get from doing that? Mr. Whalreth taught me SacredLight Fist, while Mr. Baal saved my life.”

“I’ve already given you the benefit. Can’t you feel it? That aura in your body is a lethal intent. As long asyou kill anything evil, the lethal intent will grow stronger. Once you have nine marks, you’ll be the mostpowerful person on earth. If you kill this useless zombie here now, you’ll create your very first mark, and your abilities will improve greatly. At the same time, you’ll be able to get me out. Isn’t it a win-winsituation?” asked Hadad.

“Hmph. There you go talking nonsense again. The most powerful person on earth, huh? That soundsridiculous.” The zombie snorted and swung his hand out, making Hadad’s spirit disappear in an instant.

“Don’t listen to him, young man. If you guys leave now, I’ll spare you. Otherwise, don’t blame me forwhat I’ll do next,” threatened the zombie.
