Chapter 2249 Cannibal

Hence, Jared was certain that the old man must be an expert, not to mention the kind whose aura evenhe couldn’t detect.

“You're just passing by, yet you killed two of my demon beasts. You should know that I raised thesebeasts as food. Since you killed my demon beasts, I'll have to eat you instead. You can start a fire anddecide who among you should be roasted first,” the old man uttered without looking back.

Listening to that old man saying he wanted to eat them, Jared furrowed his brows. Meanwhile, colorsdrained from Archer's face. He knew they must've encountered the legendary old freak.

“Sir, I didn't mean to kill your demon beasts. I can compensate you. I’ll give you however much moneyor items you want. The few of us are friends, and we won't leave anyone behind.” Jared wasn't going toallow anyone from his party to be sacrificed and eaten by the old man.

“Since you're so loyal to one another, no one should leave, then. Five people should be enough to feedme for a few days,” the old man replied slowly.

Sensing the old man's stubbornness, Jared frowned, and murderous intent flashed across his eyes.

“Sir, I can reimburse you for killing your demon beasts. However, if you insist on keeping us, don'tblame me for being ruthless!” Jared's tone grew cold.

“Hahaha! Although I'm of advanced age, I do enjoy a life full of challenges. You all don't need to goeasy on me!”

The old man still sat with his back facing Jared and the others as he laughed heartily.

“In that case, don't blame me for what happens next!”

Jared unleashed his aura to its limit because he knew he had to defeat that kind of person with onestrike. Otherwise, he would lose the opportunity to win.

“Sacred Light Fist!”

Jared swung his fist with all his might at the old man's back.

Terrifying spiritual energy spread outward. Ear-splitting noise reverberated as the punch tore throughthe sky, causing even the formation of huge tidal waves on the sea surface.

However, the old man didn't budge an inch even as Jared brought his fist down at him. The trees in thesurroundings were broken in half, and Jared felt a tremendous countershock which sent him staggeringbackward and almost fell to the ground.

At that moment, he gazed at the old man in utter astonishment and disbelief. He knew his own strengthbetter than anyone, but he didn't expect his punch to be entirely ineffective to that old man. Not tomention, he was even sent stumbling backward by the recoil.

At that moment, even Flaxseed and the others gaped in stupefaction and were rendered speechless. Ifeven Jared can't harm that old man, we most likely can't survive today.

“You're the first person who dared to attack me in so many years. Since you killed my demon beasts, Ishall let my beasts devour you as compensation!” said the old man as he flicked his fishing rod lightly.

A few demon beasts emerged from the sea and landed on the island as if they were being pulled outfrom the depths of the ocean by the old man's fishing rod.

There were a total of five demon beasts, including sea turtles, octopuses, and one strange-looking fishwith four legs.

All those demon beasts possessed the strength of a Martial Arts God, each one incredibly ugly andrevolting to look at.

The old man recast his fishing rod into the sea and sat quietly, never bothering to turn his head aroundthe whole time.

Roar!

The four-legged peculiar fish bellowed and charged at Jared and his gang.

The other demon beasts attacked as well, leaving Jared and the others with no choice but to fight.

As Flaxseed and Godrick were weaker, they had to face one demon beast together.

Meanwhile, Jared dealt with two demon beasts on his own.novelbin

He brandished Dragonslayer Sword. The sword's radiance lit up the sky, spreading formidable martialenergy in all directions.

Soon, Jared and the others were engaged in a fierce battle with the demon beasts, while the old manremained rooted to his spot not far away, seemingly not hearing or seeing the fight as he staredserenely at the sea surface.
