Chapter 2208

Chapter 2208 Cooperation

The geomantic compass flashed with a bright light, and any shadow it shone upon was instantlycrushed.

Meanwhile, the two old men that Avery had brought with him were back-to-back, their figures like thewind as they rapidly spun, creating a huge storm that quickly dispersed the black shadows.

However, the hall was already sealed, and the dispersed negative energy would only gather andregroup in the corners of the hall before launching another attack.

As for Emiliano, his body expanded as if he had undergone a mutation. The wounds on his body weredripping with green blood, but they quickly healed in no time.

Every punch he threw formed a hurricane that directly shattered the black shadows.novelbin

However, no matter how many black shadows they dispersed, the negative energy would eventuallycondense again and become a new wave of emerging black shadows.

Although they could still keep the situation under control for the time being, as time passed, they wouldeventually be worn down and killed.

“Mr. Chance, what do we do?”

Skyler's forehead was already covered in sweat, and a strand of hair was sticking to it.

Luol's expression was grim. It was obvious that his energy had been significantly depleted, and he wasfinding it difficult to keep it up.

Jared was also anxious at the moment as he constantly observed the situation. Although it was a deatharray, there would always be a way to crack it.

However, with countless black shadows bombarding him with attacks, Jared couldn't calm down andthink of a way to break the arcane array.

Jared wanted Skyler and Luol to help him block the shadows so that he could calm down and think. However, the two of them couldn't possibly hold back the countless shadows.

At this point, Jared could only seek the help of Avery and Emiliano. They needed to work together toconjure a quiet space for Jared.

Even though Jared detested talking to Avery, he had no other choice now.

Hence, Jared approached Emiliano and Avery.

“This is a death array, and we have to break it. Otherwise, we'll die of exhaustion in here.”

“You don't say? We already know we have to break the arcane array. But how do we do it?” Emilianoretorted as he threw a punch to shatter a shadow.

“So, Jared, do you have a way to break the death array?” Avery asked, casting an affectionate look atJared.

“To break the death array, we must find its core. But now I'm restrained and can't find it! So, we have towork together. You guys help me block the shadows and create a quiet space. Then, I will be able tosearch for the death array's core in peace!” Jared suggested to Avery and Emiliano.

“Sure, no problem!” Avery agreed without hesitation.

However, Emiliano shook his head. “Do you take us for fools, Jared Chance? You merely want us toblock the shadows for you so that you can take it easy. In the end, we'll all be worn down, and thetreasures inside these ancient ruins will all be yours. I'm not that gullible. You're on your own.”

Emiliano hated Jared to his bones. There was no way he would block the shadows for the latter.

However, since Avery had agreed to help out, Jared reckoned that he could hold off the shadows for awhile.

Avery led several of his subordinates, along with Luol and Skyler, to surround Jared in a circle, creatinga safe and quiet space for him.

Jared closed his eyes, and his spiritual sense instantly spread out. His surging spiritual senseenveloped the entire hall, and his hands lightly touched something in midair as if something was in frontof him.

Emiliano let out a cold snort as he watched Jared. What a pretentious snob. This is a death array ofNarcissus Palace. How could it be easily broken?

Jared continued keeping his eyes shut as his body began to move slowly. As he moved, the peoplearound him also began to move, blocking the black shadows that were charging toward him.
