Chapter 1880 A Small Misunderstanding

Austin lifted his hand but couldn't bring himself to thrust his palm down. After all, he couldn't truly beatKayson to death.

“I'm starting to feel a little embarrassed because you two are arguing about whether to release me.”Jared smiled. “I'll just take this matter into my own hands to avoid a conflict between you two.”

With that, golden lights enveloped Jared's body, and the terrifying aura he emitted filled the air abovethe Zagorski residence. novelbin

Sensing Jared's formidable aura, Austin and Kayson widened their eyes in utter astonishment.

Clang!

All of a sudden, the eight Soul Binding Chains restraining Jared shattered and fell to the floor.

Austin and Kayson were stunned after seeing that.

The Soul Binding Chains was the Zagorski family's heirloom and was a high-grade magical item. Yet,Jared had effortlessly destroyed it.

Jared brushed the dust off his body and said to Austin nonchalantly, “Mr. Zagorski, sorry that I brokeyour family heirloom.”

Austin remained silent because he was at a loss for words, while Kayson stared fearfully at Jared as ifhe was looking at a devil.

His arrogance earlier had entirely dissipated at that instant.

“I shall forgive you today on your father's account. If you dare to repeat this mistake, I suggest theZagorski family get ready to attend your funeral,” Jared said to Kayson.

Then, he turned around and left.

Austin regained his senses when Jared reached the doorway. He hastily chased after the latter.

“Mr. Chance, wait up. Please hold on,” Austin shouted.

Jared spun on his heels to look at Austin. “Do you want me to compensate you for the family heirloom,Mr. Zagorski?”

“No, no, that's not it. My son was at fault in the first place, so I wouldn't dare to ask you forcompensation. I simply wish to invite you into my house to be my guest so my son can apologize toyou. Besides, I've heard many great things about you, Mr. Chance, so I wish to have a chat with you.”

Austin asked Jared to stay because he wanted to have a talk with Jared.

“Okay,” Jared agreed without hesitation.

Austin led Jared into his room, then instructed Kayson, “B*stard, get over here and pour Mr. Chance a

cup of coffee!”

Kayson put his haughty demeanor away and respectfully filled a cup of coffee for Jared.

Judging by how Jared had easily broken the Soul Binding Chains into pieces, Kayson figured he wasno match for Jared as the gap between their abilities was vast beyond his imagination.

Austin raised his cup of coffee and uttered courteously, “Mr. Chance, my negligence in educating myson had caused him to offend you. I wish to apologize to you in his stead. I hope you'll have mercy andforgive my son.”

“That's all right, Mr. Zagorski. It's just a small misunderstanding,” Jared responded with a faint smile.

Austin felt more at ease after hearing that. Otherwise, if Jared were to pursue that matter further andharm Kayson, Kayson's life would be in danger.

“Mr. Chance, it is Norham's honor to host you. I'll immediately order my subordinates to arrangeaccommodation for you. You can choose any place you wish to stay in Norham. Moreover, please feelfree to do whatever you want here. You can also stay as long as you desire. I am capable of providingyou with great luxury in this city.” Austin began to bootlick Jared.

“You're too kind, Mr. Zagorski. As I mentioned, I'll leave very soon since I'm just here with my friend ona short getaway.”

Jared reemphasized he was merely there for a few days of vacation.

He could sense that Austin was cautious toward his sudden arrival at Norham, seemingly afraid that hemight be plotting something.
