Chapter 3177

Xandros was utterly astounded as he watched Jared and Cloud leave. “What kind of technique is this,Mr. Quayle? Even though we’re standing right here, they didn’t detect us in the least, not even ourauras,” he marveled.

With a hint of pride, Quintavius replied, “This is a skill known as Vanish, Mr. Xandros. It’s an ancestraltechnique passed down through the generations. Even a Top Level Tribulator cultivator wouldn’t beable to penetrate it. In fact, Vanish has rescued me numerous times in the past, and it has never failed. Now, we only need to wait patiently for them to leave before we can make our exit.”

As soon as Remus finished speaking, Jared’s voice echoed through the surroundings. “The techniquehas never failed you, you say? Really?”

Remus and Xandros were left dumbfounded as they searched the area. Yet, there was no trace ofJared to be found.

The fact that they could hear him but not see him sent a shiver of unease down their spines. Soon, theynoticed ripples in the void before them. Before they knew it, Jared reappeared right in front of them.

Remus’ Vanish technique was promptly dispelled, exposing his position to Jared and Cloud.

“Did you really think you could play hide-and- seek with me? How absurd,” Jared quipped, wearing asly grin.

Remus wore a dismayed expression, utterly taken aback. His use of the Vanish technique had neverfailed him before. Yet, Jared had effortlessly saw through his technique.

“You are too arrogant, brat!” Without hesitation, Remus launched a palm strike toward Jared, generating a fierce gust of wind in the process.

However, his attack penetrated directly through Jared’s form without hurting him one bit. It becameapparent that the Jared before him. was merely an illusion.

“Since you enjoy hiding so much, I guess I’l play along for a while.” Jared’s taunt resounded from everydirection.

Xandros and Remus’ surroundings started shifting continually, and Jared’s shadow clones materializedfrom all angles.

Xandros was about to lose his mind, frantically launching relentless assaults against all the surroundingshadow clones. Unfortunately, it proved futile, as none of the shadow clones were the real Jared.

Remus grabbed Xandros’ hand, stopping his attacks, and furrowed his brow as he examined theirsurroundings. “What an impressive illusion array. We were ensnared within it without even realizing…”

“What do we do now, Mr. Quayle?” Xandros panicked. Jared’s shadow clones would materialize everynow and then, and even though they did not attack Xandros, it was sufficient to unnerve him.novelbin

If this went on, he might literally be scared to death because he couldn’t predict where Jared wouldshow up next.

“Stay calm, Mr. Xandros. This illusion array’s purpose is to confuse us. As long as we collect ourselvesand avoid panicking, we should be able to dispel this illusion formation,” Remus reassured.

As he spoke, he remained vigilant, closely scrutinizing his surroundings. Xandros huddled closelybehind Remus, shivering uncontrollably. After executing a series of intricate hand movements, a greenlight emanated from Remus’ fingertips.

“Banisher of souls, dispeller of spirits…” he recited an incantation while executing further gestures.Gradually, a green soul attractor took form in Remus’ hands.

The soul attractor radiated an icy energy that sent shivers racing down Xandros’ spine. As the soulattractor pulsed with a green light within Remus’ grasp, eerie wails emanated from it. Xandros, stillhiding behind Remus, was frightened out of his wits.

He had never seen Remus using something like that before. The soul attractor swayed continuously, and the illusory surroundings promptly morphed into a green-hued world.

“Shatter!” In response to Remus’ shout, the verdant world erupted into fragments, and everythingreverted to its usual state..

It was only then that Xandros and Remus noticed Jared and Cloud watching them from a distance.
