Chapter 3170

Yuven stood above the city, staring at the thousands of Demon Wolves. His heart was filled withreluctance and guilt. He felt particularly bad for Leifr because he knew what Leifr meant to Ivasha.

Ivasha grew up playing inside the mountains and forests, with Leifr accompanying her. It could be saidthat Leifr watched her grow up. Yet, Ivasha had sent Leifr to die.

Yuven knew Ivasha was more devastated than him, but it had to be done. When Imperial Beast Citywas ruled by Tigerus, many loyal warriors were brutally murdered. Imperial Beast City’s loyalty towardYuven, in general, had decreased significantly.

The confidence of the soldiers within Imperial Beast City was likely to falter when they faced a powerfularmy.

It was something Ivasha was well aware of, which was why she had ordered Leifr to disrupt theadvancement of Lucian’s troops. After all, at that moment, only Leifr was the most loyal to Yuven andIvasha.

Ivasha was hoping that the fearless death of the Demon Wolf army would inspire the warriors ofImperial Beast City.

If everything went according to her plan, the fighting spirit of the soldiers within Imperial. Beast Citywould be renewed.

Leifr understood her intention, which was why he had obeyed her command without hesitation. If hisdeath could ensure the safety of Imperial Beast City, he’d gladly sacrifice his life.

Quietly, Leifr stood ahead of the Demon Wolf army. When a breeze passed him by, the fur on his bodyfluttered.

A resolute and fearless look flashed across his eyes as he gazed at the mighty battalion marchingtoward him. The Demon Wolves glared at their enemies with fierce expressions, baring their fangs.

Leifr was loyal to Imperial Beast City, while those Demon Wolves were loyal to him. Due to theirunwavering loyalty, death didn’t. terrify them.

“Charge!” Leifr transformed into a gigantic Demon Wolf and dashed forward. The thousands of DemonWolves followed behind him.

In an instant, the Demon Wolves crashed into their adversaries and began killing them. The DemonWolves weren’t that powerful. Even Leifr’s strength paled in comparison to the invaders. However, theywere determined and brave.novelbin

The sound of killing reverberated in the air as clouds of smoke rose. Moments later, a sea of blood anda mountain of corpses were seen at the entrance of Imperial Beast City.

As Ivasha watched the scene unfold, she teared up. A dozen minutes later, the sounds of killinggradually stopped, and the smoke dissipated.

Every last Demon Wolves were dead, lying in a puddle of their blood. Despite their valiant sacrifice, they had caused minimal damage to their enemy.

Leifr’s corpse was raised high on a spear by the invaders to provoke Imperial Beast City. Upon seeingLeifr’s body, Ivasha couldn’t hold back her tears anymore and sobbed out loud.

Yuven’s eyes became moist as well.

When the warriors within Imperial Beast City witnessed that scene, murderous intent filled theirreddened eyes.

At that moment, their fighting spirit was aroused.

Above the mountain miles away from the city, Lucian watched his subordinate raise Leifr’s corpse.Enraged by that scene, Lucian reprimanded, “That fool! Doesn’t he know provoking the enemy like thatwill only strengthen their resolve to fight?”

“So what if Imperial Beast City resists, Dad? There’s nothing they can do. Their experts have alreadybeen killed. All they have left are scared cowards,” said Xandros brazenly.

“Your words reveal your ignorance! Summon our troops back now!” scolded Lucian. Xandros wasabout to recall the vanguard when the earth shook.

A moment later, he saw the gates of Imperial Beast City open. Tens of thousands of warriorsimmediately poured out of the city, roaring with murderous intent.

The soldiers of Imperial Beast City were initially afraid. However, they grew courageous afterwitnessing Leifr’s death.
