Buzz! The enormous egg suddenly emitted a beam of light, and the runes started to gleam. A wave ofenergy surged forth and struck Jared.
Boom! There was a massive wave. Jared felt a lightness in his body and was thrown backward, bloodtrickling from the corner of his lips.
Simultaneously, the middle-aged man's form began to shimmer, on the brink of vanishing fromexistence altogether. Jared's eyes were filled with disbelief. He didn't expect the egg before him to havesuch power.
"What animal's egg is this? How can it be so powerful?" he wondered out loud. "This isn't just anyanimal egg but was conceived in this pool of blood over thousands of years. I'm not sure what's insideeither," the middle-aged man said.
Jared grew speechless. He doesn't even know what this is, but he gave this to me as a gift? How am Isupposed to accept this?
"Then how do I take it?" Jared muttered in exasperation.
"All you have to do is remove the runes on the surface to obtain the egg. Consider it my gift to you. If Ihadn't brought you here, you wouldn't have known about this egg. Besides, many individuals desire it.Don't think it's peaceful around here, most people are hiding in their own space. When you touched theegg and incited that disturbance earlier, you have likely alerted others to your presence. You shouldquickly break the runes on the egg."
With his eyes fixed on the giant egg, Jared summoned his Dragonslayer Sword, planning to remove therunes by force.
