In a heartbeat, two demonic beasts illuminated by flames appeared in the sky. Their entire beings werewreathed in fire, sending ripples of heat that escalated the surrounding temperature to boiling degrees.
The two demon beasts fixated their eyes on Jared and the others. With a searing command fromPhaethon, they lunged violently toward Jared.
Once he got rid of Jared, he did not need to worry about the rest. Even if he did nothing and stoodthere, they wouldn’t be able to hurt him in the slightest.
“Master…”
Feenix, sensing imminent danger, soared into the sky, turning into a phoenix with wings ablaze.
“A phoenix? And celestial beast in human form at that? Oh, I’ve hit the jackpot today!” Phaethon.screamed in ecstasy at the sight of Feenix’s transformation.
“Feenix, fall back!” Jared urgently commanded. He knew all too well that she wasn’t Phaethon’s match.Their strengths were worlds apart.

Feenix hesitated. She was willing to sacrifice her life for Jared’s safety.
“Retreat!” Jared’s voice boomed like thunder as he unsheathed his Dragonslayer Sword. Left with noother choice, Feenix descended. Jared watched silently as the two demon beasts drew nearer, theiroppressive heat palpable from miles away.
He stood no chance against Phaethon. Yet, he couldn’t bear to see his women fall into the hands ofanother man. Even if it meant self-destruction, he would thwart Phaethon’s vile plans.
Besides, he had one more card up his sleeve- Ice Soul Pill. Jared would have to ingest the Ice Soul Pillin order to stand against Phaethon. He would have nothing to fear.
However, he might not be able to answer to the countess of Jipsdale, and the poison in Yuven’s bodymight not be able to be neutralized.
Then again, Jared didn’t have much choice in the matter. He couldn’t stand idly by and let Phaethon killthem all and take away the Ice Soul Pill.
He raised his head to eye the two demon beasts engulfed in flames lunging right at him. Just as he wastorn between swallowing the Ice Soul Pill or not, a blur of white flashed before his eyes. In an instant,snowflakes filled the sky, the temperature plummeting.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Cracking sounds echoed. Everything around him had been frozen. The scorching demon beasts werenow enveloped in layers of ice. Everyone gaped in astonishment. None thought that fire could befrozen.
Descending gently, Jared saw an immaculate ice crystal shimmering before him. Its frost energyemanated rapidly, plummeting the temperature around them and causing everyone to shiver.
“Who are you?” Phaethon asked with furrowed brows. Amid the snowstorm stood Quinley, holding anice crystal beside Jared. Dressed in white, she looked like an angel.

“Ms. Tall, what brings you here?” Jared couldn’t hide his astonishment. He didn’t expect her to come.Quinley smiled. “If I hadn’t come, you would have been burned to death.”
Jared flushed with embarrassment. He wouldn’t be burned alive with the Ice Soul Pill, but he wouldlose it if he ingested it.
