Chapter 2884 A Gruesome Death

“Crixus! Juan! Run!” Salazar yelled, and the three of them teleported away in different directions. Theice bear swiped its paw at Salazar, but he was able to go through the void in time and put somedistance between them.

The ice bear roared angrily as it leaped hundreds of meters into the air and hurled itself at Salazar.Salazar did his best to escape using his teleportation ability, but he was unable to escape the ice bear’sattack in time.

“Juan! Catch!” Salazar shouted as he tossed the ice soul fragment to Juan. The ice bear’s body landedon Salazar the moment the ice soul fragment left his hands, turning him into a bloody pulp instantly.

“Salazar!” Crixus and Juan exclaimed in despair when they saw that. Jared frowned in displeasurewhen he looked up and saw what happened as well.

Having killed Salazar, the ice bear continued chasing after Juan. It was determined to reclaim the icesoul fragment. “Run, Juan!” Crixus shouted at the top of his voice. There was no time for them tomourn the loss of their fallen brother.

Crixus and Juan quickly activated their teleportation ability in order to make their escape, but the icebear was as fast as lightning and had caught up to Juan before he could make it out of the canyon withthe ice soul fragment.

Realizing that he wouldn’t be able to escape, Juan tossed the ice soul fragment to Crixus with all hismight.novelbin

“Hurry up and get out of here, Crixus!” Juan yelled before turning around to face the ice bear head-on.The next thing they knew, Juan’s body expanded and exploded with a deafening boom.

He killed himself in order to slow the ice bear down and buy Crixus some time to escape.

“Juan…”

Tears flowed down Crixus’ face as he clenched his teeth and ran out of the canyon with the ice soulfragment. The ice bear continued to chase him down even after he had made it to the entrance of thecanyon.

Jared jumped into the air. He swung Dragonslayer Sword and fired a beam of light. At the same time,he made some hand signs and created charms that levitated in the air.

The charms resulted in huge explosions after Jared made it out of the canyon.

The force of the explosion caused huge chunks of rocks to fall from both walls of the canyon, sealing itsentrance instantly and stirring up a huge cloud of snow and smoke.

“Let’s go!” Jared yelled as he grabbed Crixus. Without wasting another second, the two of themactivated their teleportation ability and fled the scene.

It wasn’t until Jared no longer detected any danger with his spiritual sense that they stopped runningand panted heavily. Jared had used up a huge amount of spiritual energy during that battle and hadpractically deployed every trick he had up his sleeve.

Crixus’ face was filled with sadness as he handed Jared the ice soul fragment. Jared patted him on theshoulder, causing a bodily spirit to return to Crixus’ body.

“I’m sorry.” Jared felt incredibly guilty as Salazar and Juan would probably still be alive if he didn’t insiston getting the ice soul fragment.

Crixus kept his head low and remained silent as he was still grieving. It pained Jared deeply to seeCrixus so upset, but he didn’t know how to comfort him.

After giving it some thought, Jared retrieved Octo Ruler from his Storage Ring. Although it wasoriginally meant to be a gift for Josephine, Jared decided to let Crixus have it instead.

The demon beasts that were sealed within Octo Ruler had all died in battle, but Octo Ruler was still adivine weapon.

“The journey will only get increasingly tougher from here on. Given your strength, tagging along willonly put you in even more danger. There isn’t much I can give you, so you can have Octo Ruler,” Jaredsaid while handing it over to him.

He then proceeded to give Crixus an explanation on how to use Octo Ruler.
