Ebenez's party started losing ground, retreating steadily in the face of the onslaught of Ghaylen, Viola,and the others.
Faiyar used blazing flames to surround Jared. The fire raged, the temperature so blistering that onecould hardly breathe.

Faiyar flicked his hands incessantly. The flames began to rage, and the temperature around Jaredgrew increasingly higher.

He flipped his hands back and forth. The fireball gradually extinguished before turning black in the nextsecond.
Then, he tossed the black ball at Jared's head.
