Chapter 41 – Guests Arrives
LIAM
The Elders surprised me and had fast set a date and sent out invitations to the packs in our kingdom
When they had first tried to contact me to confirm, I had not been able to answer. What none of us had
thought about was that when a she-wolf is marked she will go into heat about a month later, but I had
not thought about, that being the king everything goes faster. So Laura had gone to heat, only a
few days after I marked her. This happens for two reasons. One is to ensure that the marked pair mate
with each other Most Markings happens in the rush of an orgasm, but it isn‘t necessarily needed for us
to mark each other, and secondly, a she-wolf in heat is almost 100% sure to become pregnant. Sure,
they can become pregnant without the heat, but it is rare to see that it happens. And it is now a little
more than a week ago that her heat finished.
Laura had, had a request, that we would be married either on the same day or before the coronation,
she said she will feel better with the crowning being the last part. It made sense and Elder Andrews
agreed and said that we could do the wedding on the same day, that it will bring our people to feel
honored.
Laura is at this moment was gone together with my mother and Cora to have the last adjustments to
her dress made. In the meantime, I am here in front of the packhouse greeting the packs that had
accepted the invitation. A few packs had declined, but that was only because of either a pregnant Luna
or because some of the packs still experienced rouge attacks and wanted to be home.
I was at this moment about to
greet Welcome to the Alpha and Luna together with their son, and a few pack members, an older
couple, as we had given invites to 6 people from each pack. But before I could say anything I felt her
presence before I even smelled her. The car drove up and stopped, a warrior coming out going
to the door on my side and opening it. I smiled when my beautiful mate got out of the car, and I
gestured to the visiting pack to wait for a few.
Laura came up to me and I grabbed her face and bent down to kiss her. I let go of her lips
and nuzzled her neck and smiled when a barely hearable moan slipped her lips. We would have to
go to see doctor Marshall, later and have him check if Laura became pregnant doing her heat.
“Did you get your dress?” I asked her and she nods
“Yes. All done, your mom and Cora went home. Your mom hiding the dress in her room.” She giggled a
nd I chuckle.
“Love, this is one of the visiting packs.” | gestured
to the Alpha and Luna, and their packmembers. I felt it i In the same
second that shock filled her body, at the same time as the visiting Alpha growled lowly. But before I can
say anything, the man of the older couple speaks.
“Laura?” A flood of emotions runs through her, and I feel them all through our bond.
“Dad.” Laura whisper. But before anyone can say more the Luna speaks.
“Laura? What on earth are you doing here, we thought you were dead.” Laura looks at the woman with
a sarcastic smile on her lips.
“More like hoped, how are you sister.” She avoided looking at thenovelbin
Alpha, who I now know has to be her ex mate.
“How are you alive? Miles felt you die.” Her dad asked
“As you can see I am alive. Even though Miles’s betrayal and rejection almost killed me.” I tell him.
I am a bit in shock. I knew the chance that Midnight Pack would come was fairly big. Even though I am
shocked, it‘s not only because of seeing them again. But also that it surprisingly doesn’t hurt as much
as expected
“We know that there was some misunderstanding.” My dad begins and I laugh.
“A misunderstanding, you can call it that if that makes you feel better,” I say and a growl comes
from Miles.
“Shut up Laura.” He tries to order me. But before I can answer Liam growls loudly and with a lot of
anger. 4
“You do well to remember that this is the future Queen you are talking to.” He says with controlled
anger i n his voice. His hand clothing my waist.
“She is my fated Mate!” Miles begins but I stop him.
“You mean, I was. You saw to the end of that when you forced me to watch you fuck Leah and when
you rejected me afterward.” I
say with venom in my voice. My dad looks absolutely shocked but Samantha doesn’t even
blink, it makes me think she already knew. I continue.
“Yes, I ran, after you ripped my heart
and soul to shreds. I passed out after running in wolf form for days, Liam found me in the forest. After
getting stronger I accepted your rejection.” I say and see my dad look a t Miles and
Leah with shock and a little bit of disgust. Miles looks passed off but stays quiet.
“Laura was barely breathing when I found her. My pack doctor and his nurses managed to save her.
When she was strong
enough I took her to my house to heal. I had not expected to fall in love with her, but as you see I
managed to
win her heart, and have her accept my mark.” Liam says with the Kings‘ authority and slightly pulls my
shirt away showing them I am marked.
“You must think you are special, just because you seduced the king.” Leah spat. But before I can answ
er Liam does.
“On the contrary, I was the one seducing her. She is a rare beauty.” Liam says. Leah scoffs and Saman
tha snorts.
“You are welcome to stay. But I will not have any of you disgrace my Mate, my future wife, and queen.
So i f you stay, you will behave. Or I will personally follow you out of this territory. Should you choose to
stay, the omega will follow you to your room.” Liam says
still holding on to me. Bending his head down to my ear.
“We need to be at doctor Marshall‘s office in 20 minutes. Mack and Cora will come to greet the coming
packs in our place.” He tells me. And I nod my head.
“Are you alright, are you sick?” I look at my father not sure what to answer.
“Laura was in heat last week, so we are going to have her tested to see if she got pregnant.”
“Oh Laura,
good luck. To both of you” My dad says bowing slightly to Liam, but both Miles, Leah, and Samantha lo
ok enraged.
“Thank you, dad.”
“Thank you, Mr. Perl. Maybe I am so lucky that your beautiful daughter is carrying my heir.” Liam tells d
ad smiling. Taking my hand and leading me down the stairs and towards the pack‘s hospital.
When we entered the hospital we were led to doctor Marshall‘s office and he greeted
us with a big smile, he knew why we were here and quickly went to work both with a pregnancy test
and a blood test. Liam and I were waiting for him to return and Liam pulled me to sit on him facing him.

“Are you okay baby? I know that cannot have been easy.” He asks.
“I am surprisingly okay, I knew the chance of them coming was big. But I had thought it would be harder
. I felt nothing. No pain, nothing but happiness that I have you, that you found me.” I tell him
“I will always be by your side, my queen.” He says and kisses me softly.
“I love you, Liam,” I tell him and he smiles
“I love you too baby.” He answers, just as the doors open and doctor Marshall comes in.
“My king and Queen. I am happy to tell you, that you are pregnant.” I can feel the big feeling of excitem
ent and happiness radiating from Liam and I smile big.
