As long as the Thompsons step aside and stopprotecting Leon, the Hiltons won’t hurt any member of the Thompsons! However, we won’t show anymercy to those who stand in our way!” Devon threatened.

However, the Hiltons were still a respected house, so they could not simply commit murder and robberyon the surface, so Devon decided to attack Leon, using Joel’s injury as an excuse.

He could tell that Devon did not wish to fight the Thompsons, but the Southern Boss had a differentplan in mind.
He tried to lure Arthur into betraying Leon, only to buy time for the Hiltons to arrive. Since the Hiltonsarrived, the Spears and Hiltons could join forces and easily eliminate the Thompsons.
To fulfill the Southern Boss’s ambition of ruling over the southern region, he knew he had to take theThompsons out of the picture and he did not intend on letting the great opportunity of killing every lastone of the Thompsons go. “That’s enough, Devon! The Southern Boss and Rodney killed my grandson, Yonas, and theThompsons are going to have their heads today! This has nothing to do with the Hiltons, so I advisethat you stay out of it, or we will show you no mercy!” Arthur roared, not knowing that he was playingright into the plot of the Southern Boss and Devon.
“Who told you that the Hiltons have nothing to do with this? Since you’ve already found out that Yonaswas killed by Rodney, I might as well tell you the whole truth! Rodney was not the only one involved,and so was Mister Joel!” The Southern Boss said.
He made a point to mention Joel’s name to make sure that the Hiltons had no choice but to remain onthe Spears’ side; once Arthur found out about Joel’s involvement, the Hiltons would not be able to hideand would be forced to fight the Thompsons.
