Just then, footsteps sounded from a distance and a family member hurried into the main hall, alertingArthur and August.
"Mister Arthur, Mister August, there are three Dragon Guards at our door..." He said respectfully.
"What?"
"Why would the Dragon Guards be here?"
Both Arthur and August were stunned and exchanged confused looks.
"I'm not sure. All they said was that they wanted a word with you..." The man said honestly.
"I see... Take them to the guest room and keep them entertained. I will head over when possible..."Arthur said.
Since the house was made into a venue for the funeral, Arthur knew better than to receive his guest inthe main hall. He instructed the man to lead the Dragon Guards to the guest room instead.
The two arrived at the guest room and formally greeted the three Dragon Guards. Amongst the threeguards were Oliver and Abraham, who were standing by each side of the third unknown stranger.
Apart from the two of them, at the center stood a young man. A silver lock of hair cascaded down hisforehead, and he wore a golden mask that concealed half of his face.
Though his appearance remained hidden, his remarkable bearing revealed that he was far fromordinary.
Clearly, this young man was none other than Leon.
In order to investigate Yonas's cause of death thoroughly, Leon had come up with a clever plan.
He intended to utilize his affiliation with the Dragon Corps and pay a visit to Arthur, the elder of theThompsons, biding his time for the right moment to act.
As such, while Arthur and August mistakenly believed that Leon was the culprit behind Yonas' demise,and since his identity as a member of the Dragon Corps was not to be revealed casually, he took careto wear the golden mask that Alfred had given him.novelbin
