Chapter 2289

"Thank you for everything you've done for me today, Mister Thompson, and thanks to Roanne too,"Leon strode over to Angus and Roanne to thank them after Arthur left.novelbin

"You don't have to thank me, Mister Wolf. You have been so kind to us in the past, and this is the leastRoanne and I can do. Besides, my Uncle Arthur and August have lost their sense of judgment becausethey are overcome with anger, and this is why they wrongfully blamed you. I hope you can understand,"Angus let out a sheepish smile as he apologized on behalf of Arthur and August.

"No problem. I can understand how they're feeling. However, I can't help but wonder how we're goingto approach this, considering you were banished from your own family for no reason," Leon sighed.

Angus' insistence to go against Arthur's orders and finally getting banished from the family as a resultwas a testament to his loyalty to Leon. As touched as Leon was by this grand gesture, he could nothelp being worried that the Thompsons would take a big hit as a result of this major change in power.

This would not bode well for the Thompsons as a whole!

"That's okay! My Uncle Arthur is just at the height of his anger and acted rashly. Everything will besolved once we investigate and reveal the truth, not to mention find the real murderer!" Angus replied.

"Yes, you're right." Leon nodded in agreement. He knew Angus was right; as long as they could find thereal culprit and resolve the misunderstanding, Arthur and Angus would reconcile again.

"Mister Thompson, there are too many people about, and this isn't the place to discuss matters likethis! you and Roanne should come to my office so we can talk about this in detail!" Leon suggested, then gestured for Chandler and Mason to stay back and settle the rest.

With that, he led Angus and Roanne to his office upstairs, followed suit by Iris and Snow.

Inside the presidential office, everyone took their seats.

"Mister Thompson, what happened? How could Yonas have died out of the blue when he was fine justhours before?" Leon asked directly. Although he already knew of Yonas's death, he was still unsure ofthe exact details.

He had to make sense of all the minute details to find the true culprit!

"Well, here's what happened," Angus explained everything to Leon truthfully.

"Are you saying that Fifi was the only person at home when Yonas died?" Leon asked meaningfully ashe picked up on an important detail in Angus' story.

"Yes, that's right." Angus nodded.

"This Fifi seems a little suspicious, Mister Thompson! Back when she was still at Elegante Group, shekept deliberately trying to drive a wedge between Yonas and Roanne. Now that Yonas has died out ofthe blue, do you think she could have something to do with this?" Iris managed to put two and twotogether.

"I don't think so! Fifi is just an ordinary girl, and there's no possible way she could've killed Yonas,"Angus shook his head. Although he also suspected Fifi at first thought, after some carefulconsideration, he decided that this was highly unlikely to be the case, especially considering that Fionawas just an ordinary girl and not a martial artist at all!

With that in mind, there was no way she could take on Yonas and overpower him, especiallyconsidering he was already at the Intermediate Emperor State!

This was why he ruled out Fiona as a possible suspect!
