He was not the only one shocked by this; the audience was equally as stunned by Rodney's audacity!
None of them ever imagined that Rodney would have the audacity to challenge Leon to a duel instead!
This worked incredibly in Rodney's favor, the audience immediately shifted their attention onto the duelinstead of the ring.
"No, you didn't hear me wrongly! You're just a scaredy-cat that won't rise to the challenge!" Rodneydeclared with a contemptuous sneer.

Now, seeing that their plans to bring down Roanne failed, he decided to shift his attention to Leoninstead!

"What?" Angus and Yuri were both shocked to hear Leon accepting Rodney's duel.
"Please don't act rashly, Mister Wolf! Rodney is not an opponent to be underestimated, not to mentionhe possesses a piece secret weapon with him that's highly likely to be an Emperor Weapon! It's notsensible to fall for his trap!" Angus quickly tried to talk Leon out of this. Although he got to know Leonvery well, he was yet to witness Leon in action before and thus was not sure of how powerful Leonwas.
However, considering how young Leon was, he could make an educated guess that Leon was probablyonly at the Emperor State at most!
Rodney, on the other hand, was one of the Southern region's youngest and brightest, and thus wouldnot be an easy opponent!
Not to mention that Rodney was now in possession of an Emperor Weapon that managed to defeateven Roanne, who was already at the Intermediate Emperor State!
He was certain that Leon would not be able to put up a good fight against Rodney, and so it came as ashock to him to hear Leon accepting Rodney's challenge to a duel after some provocation!
There was no way he could allow Leon to go through with this!
"My father is right! Mister Wolf, I will gladly take your place! He ambushed Roanne just now, and hedeserves to be punished for being a cheat," Yuri quickly piped up. He, like Angus, did not think thatLeon would be a good match for Rodney at all.
However, it was different for him; Yuri was always a better and more powerful fighter than Rodney was,and although Rodney possessed an Emperor Weapon, Yuri was well aware that weapons like thesewere often limited to only three uses.
As long as he remained cautious during combat, he could easily outsmart and overpower Rodney!
"There's no need! Thank you for your concern, Uncle Angus, and Mister Thompson, but I'll be fine! It'sjust Rodney, after all! Don't worry, I promise that I'll do everything in my power to avenge Roanne'sdefeat!" Leon replied calmly, the determination on his face so apparent that no one could convince himotherwise.
