Leon reached to grab Carl by the shoulder and attempted to back away with him, but a powerful waveof energy surged through Carl's body as soon as Leon's hand made contact with him.
The Poisonwielder released his energy through Carl to catch Leon off guard.

Leon was given no chance to dodge and felt tremendous pain shooting up his arm as his arm cameclose to snapping under the impact.
Refusing the give up, Leon gritted his teeth and flung Carl toward Fletcher, successfully rescuing Carlfrom the Poisonwielder. However, he left his entire vulnerable to the Poisonwielder's attack in doing so.
"Die, kid!" The Poisonwielder sneered and darted toward Leon at the speed of lightning.
"How dare you?!" Scott and Randall immediately lunged at the Poisonwielder in an attempt to distracthim from attacking Leon.
"Scram, you old twats!" The Poisonwielder was prepared and immediately tossed a handful of whitepowder toward Scott and Randall.
"It's poisonous!" Sensing that the powder was poisonous, Scott and Randall gasped in fear.
Not daring to be exposed to the powder, they backed away and narrowly dodged the attack.
"Leon, it's time for you to die! Take this!" The Poisonwielder took the opportunity to launch a powerfulbow at Leon's chest."
"You're the one who's going to die!" Leon scoffed calmly.
His true power level was the Peak Overlord State, which was hardly comparable to the Poisonwielder’sstrength in the Almighty State.
Leon knew that he did not have the capability of dodging the attack, and took the strike with the Mirrorof Sovereign on his chest.
"Baam!"
The Poisonwielder’s attack slammed against Leon's chest.
Leon spewed blood from his mouth and was instantly sent flying into the distance.
As soon as he handed, he noticed that he suffered severe internal injuries from the pain radiatingthrough the bones in his body.
Fortunately, the Mirror of Sovereign was extremely powerful and blocked most of the Poisonwielder’senergy, or Leon would have met his demise on the spot.novelbin
Meanwhile, the Poisonwielder sensed a sharp pain in his palm and lowered his gaze to notice that hewas stabbed with two small daggers.
It was the daggers that contained the Deadly Veratrum poison.
Back when the Poisonwielder insisted to trade with Leon, Leon knew that the Poisonwielder wasplotting to attack him during the trade, so he hid two daggers next to the Mirror of Sovereign.
Though the Poisonwielder’s strike injured Leon, he was stabbed by the daggers during the attack aswell.
"What on earth is this?" The Poisonwielder did not notice that there was poison on the dagger andsimply removed them, before reaching out to catch the box containing the motherwort.
